Funnily enough we seem to have faired better thus term against the stronger teams. Is this psychological do you think or the fact that the 'weaker' teams go out with a more defensive set-up which we have largely failed to overcome? Looking ahead we have most of the higher placed teams at CR in the second half of the season, not totally sure that is a good thing though.

We are punching well above our weight nosebleed territory.

Your lot are surely worth doing to be promoted through the play offs I'd say bet wise.

Warky was a big red Liverpool fan last year when he thought they would win it , haven't heard him talk about them this year funny that .

I still think anybody who finishes above the budgies will be going up, It will all depend how you strengthen in January or if you lose your established players.

With us, We just have to keep working hard, and not get ahead of ourselves and what will be, will be.

You could lose Mings and Murphy in January that would make a big difference.

Mings make a big difference? Not so sure......He's about the most overrated young player I've ever seen in an Ipswich shirt. Sure he's decent, progressing but the £10 mill fees are laughable. Parr vs Boro was much better than I've seen Mings in any game this season, and I've watched a good %%%% of our games.

Should Teddy Bishop/ Murphy/ McGoldrick or Berra go that would be a far more damaging blow.

Mings possibly, Murphs I doubt very much sn23. We are in a position that it would take a silly offer for us to consider selling as was proven during the summer, before the debt whiners start.

Rumours going round if Mings does go, we have got 2 very good players on the radar for left/right back position, and that we would invest in the creativity side of the squad which I'm most would agree is our main weakness.

agree that losing Berra would be a massive blow, best centre half in the championship.

Assuming you're being serious, while I'm sure it would be a big blow, and Berra is a decent CB, he's some way from the best in the league. As an individual, I wouldn't put him in the top five, possibly even ten, CBs in the league. To state the obvious, he's behind Grant Hanley for one.

However, it's obvious that he is perfect for your system and McCarthy gets the best out of him as shown with Wolves. He is also very dangerous from set pieces. And reliable. He's basically the perfect McCarthy player. So while I don't think he's necessarily the best CB in the league, I doubt there are many CBs in the league who would perform as well as he does in that system. In other words, I get what you're saying...

I don't think you need to worry about an injury to him though, I can't remember him ever getting seriously injured? Unless they're prone, CBs are least at risk.

I await eagerly a spreadsheet from you Rob!

Not being funny, but how many differing systems is there for a centre half?
