@HullCity: Assistant Manager Steve Agnew has left the club to join Championship side Middlesbrough. We wish Steve well for the future. #UTT

This is a sign the real problem is being addressed; it's pretty much what I have been saying for weeks - look at the coaching staff for why a decent set of players are not motivated. This way Bruce gets a lifeline as long as his replacement is top drawer - there may be a temporary coach who surprises everyone.

Leaving at a time of his own choosing rather than the alternative that usually happens when the number one gets sacked?

Yep.

Assistant Manager Steve Agnew has left the club to join Championship side Middlesbrough as assistant head coach.

Agnew, who has already enjoyed two spells at the Teeside club as a coach and care taker manager, joined the Tigers in 2012 as part of Steve Bruce’s coaching staff. During his time in Hull he has helped the club reach promotion in 2013 as well as being instrumental in the clubs Premier League survival and FA Cup run last season.

Speaking on Agnew’s departure, manager Steve Bruce said, “We wish Steve all the best of luck for the future, he has done a remarkable job as my assistant manager since 2012. Middlesbrough is a club close to his heart, his family are based in the area and so therefore we have reluctantly allowed him to move on.”

Vice chairman Ehab Allam added, “Everyone at the club thanks Steve for his hard work and dedication over the past two and a half seasons, whilst we are sad to see him leave we also must see this as an opportunity and we look forward announcing his successor in the coming weeks.”

you might have a point, always have thought that our dugout seems to be very subdued during game 's no support or passion that you see from other teams dugouts .

"I do not wish to be a part of, or witness the backlash of selling Paul McShane" - Steve Agnew #hcafcOff twitter .

Very bad timing. This reinforces my belief (admittedly without any concrete evidence other then hearsay, rumour and Paul McShane's tweets) that something is very
wrong in the camp.

Coaches coach, managers pick the team and motivate

I find it quite revealing that Bruce chose to employ Agnew and Agnew has chosen to leave of his own accord at a time when mutiny is on the ship.

I think we're all overreacting :p

We're going to beat Sunderland and Leicester, grab a draw against Everton and cruise to the 4th round of the FA Cup.
