Its a bit like a dog returning to its own vomit.

We tried Reza for 20 games last season - regardless of the fact he played up front with Church, he proved beyond doubt that he was not suited to Championship football. Too lightweight, and spent too long on his arse during games. The more I read about Watt, the more I think we should'nt touch him with a bargepole.

It could all get ugly for Roland very quickly if he ****s up in the January transfer market AND we continue to slide down the table. Giving over an old office for a museum will only paper over the cracks for so long.

ha ha. I'm getting into the holiday spirit here in Spain, so I'm happy to laugh at this one. It's a bit like that story Treasure Island, where the Pirates would pass you the 'black spot' that meant they were about to do some bad stuff. In the network, you get passed a playing equivalent, which is a bit like putting sugar in the car motor, and means the team will start to backfire badly.
We're already backfiring, so I'll join forces with Ted and hope this guy has us all eating humble pie come march, under the wise guidance of Big Bob. If he mucks about, Bob is quite likely to stick him at left back.

Maybe Reza is coming back to be moved onto somewhere else. I would rather we tried someone from Div1 or Div2, than recycling someone who didn't work the last time.

There are a million and one things I don't like about RDs football ownership, but imagine how Peeters feels. Did he think he was getting hired to be a conventional football manager? The message to him seems to be 'like what you are given', and as with Powell before the Sheff Utd game, make sure you play them.

I have no great problem with Bob as a coach. I think he has done a fairly good job with the players at his disposal.

But I have no sympathy with him about his status at Charlton. He is here for the money, same as Riga was at Blackpool. They both knew they would be working for vile bosses but still took the jobs.

Vile Boss? What makes you think he is vile? He is like most bosses I have worked for. His maxim is You do it my way or it is the Highway.
I am not a huge fan of Roland's Network. I would like a Chairman who was a Charlton Fan all his life. Would spend many millions on players. Would never interfere with the Manager/ Coach, and we would make lots of money every year. But this isn't the world of Narnia, it is his money and he can spend it how he likes.

Have you ever met and talked to Roland, Eddie? If not how do you know he is Vile? You shouldn't throw words like vile around. Just because you don't believe in the way he does Business.

Well, under Curbs we made lots of money every year, then under Dowie we spent millions on players!

I also lost a lot of money when my shares were declared worthless. Were you at the meeting Royston, when he was basically having a go at people moaning because he lost much more. He was completely disingenuous to people who didn't have much money, but invested in their Club.

There is a thread on CL about the signing of Tony Watt, and quite a bit more optimism than we have on 'ere. Let's hope they, and Ted, are right.

Yes. To add insult to injury, Murray then let it be known via his lard arse spokesman Hayes that he thought Charlton fans were quote "moaners". That tawdry episode over the shares was the final straw.

They won't be. Most of the regulars on CL still get moist in the nether regions at the very mention of Chris Powell.

I'm ambivalent or as Reams might say omnipresent.

I don't see the kid working out. But his dad who must be called Jim would say this "its ya last chance you wee gadgee, you cannae make a Chris Powell out of this and if you play up, it's the fish factory at bannock burn for us all"

Maybe his time has Belgium has made him appreciate the finer things in life, he must know its time to knuckle down.

The level of bile and vitriol levelled against a promising 20 year old kid who is younger than Joe Pigott by grown men old enough to be his father is bonkers and a nasty example of how social media can lose sense of proportion and humanity

Haven't come across that expression for quite some time now. And there isn't even any bile n vitriol on this thread against Watt, only against Saint Dick of Murray. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........

I have not seen any flak aimed towards Pope, just extreme frustration at his last two performances. That goes with the job & the nice salary.

Reza & Watt... nothing ventured nothing gained.

We all know that Tucudean & Church are dog ****. Reza is certainly better than the aforementioned gruesome twosome and Watt could be... we'll have to wait and see.

After all... Peters has done well with players who are/were perceived as being difficult. Not many of us fancied TBH or Bikey when they were linked with us, and they've been a revelation. I certainly wouldn't bet against him getting through to young Watt.

Having said all that I would prefer a proven Championship quality goalscorer. However, I'm realistic enough to realise that aint gunna happen.

Especially in the January window where proven Championship quality goalscorers are as rare as rocking horse s**t, and the few that may be available will cost a bomb.

It is what it is people... Merry Christmas to you all.

    Interesting article in SLP image.jpg
I like it where it says if I have to work with him. It looks like he has been foisted on Peeters. This is not how it should work. Getting a player in should be the Coach's choice.
