My problem is not Bruce directly. It's his relationship with the crop of players. Something isn't clicking right now. I'm not saying he can't fix it. we could be out of relegation next week with a simple win. I still think we'll survive, just but the point is can he change the mentality in the team. A few pissed off players. A few formations issues etc...

SOmetimes it's unsalvageable and I'm sure players will agree with that.

    Fickle or a realist?

You can only judge situations based on current events and opinions can change is accordance to said events.

How many poor performances and results does it take before you are no longer considered fickle?

Nobody on here can defend 4 league wins in the entirety of 2014.

    I am fine with that.
So, if you didn't care why did you reply to my quotes.
Anyway we beg to differ let's leave it at that.

Oh? I thought you'd said goodnight?

I'm still waiting for you to address my earlier point; that, if you've been following City for years, even through the bad times, how come you're only saying "enough is enough" right now, just because we're on a bad run in the top flight? Surely, you should've thrown the towel in years ago?

I thought we'd established that the poodles are the ones that follow him blindly?

And I suspect many of those offering their blind poodlism now were the ones moaning about Bruce coming in the first place.

I just never really liked him, and I still bare a grudge over that rubbish he came out with when Alan Hutton went rolling around on the floor pretending to be mortally wounded after the softest of taps. And for taking Michael Turner to a lesser extent.

Just an all round dislikable fellow really...

You have an inflated sense of ones worth if you think everyone on here is directly talking to yourself.

I don't know about "no evidence". Fulham were still really struggling. Yes RM might have kept them up but might well not.

I bet what the owner really regrets is sacking Jol.

Fickle - changing frequently, especially as regards one's loyalties or affections.

I'm not dead set on whether Bruce should stay or not and I'm guessing you'd describe me as fickle. The thing is that you'd be right to criticise people who called for Bruce's head based on just one bad performance, but that's not what this is. We've been playing poorly for the majority of 2014 and we have only won 2 games from 17 so far this season. These poor results are not due to a lack of talent however, we have spent about as much in one transfer window as we had in our entire history as a club. Bruce spent £10m on a striker who has looked very poor, signed a player in Ben Arfa who he clearly didn't know how to manage or what to expect from him when everyone else knew exactly what he would give, both good and bad. The team are completely devoid of confidence and a huge role of being a manager is making sure that doesn't happen, or fixing it when it does.

Tactics have been poor in many games, switching between the back 4 and 3 and changing personnel too much to get a solid starting 11 (although I accept that injuries have played some part in this). We have dropped off when leading which has lead to us conceding and only taking the 1 point from the game rather than the vital 3. Players are not committing from midfield enough to get ahead of the strikers and cause defenses problems, our strikers often seem extremely isolated and we've turned to route one football which does not suit us at all.

The fact that he isn't doing well at the moment doesn't take anything away from what he did with our promotion and first season up. He will always be a great City manager for what he did there. But we must now move on from that and focus on what is happening in the now. Can he turn our season around? Does he have the managerial ability to change things with the players he has, and if not should he be trusted with yet more money in the transfer window? These questions don't have simple answers and call me a "poodle" if you like but if I was the chairman I would be having serious thoughts about who was in charge of my investment, and whether they were still the right man for the job.

I would suggest you stop kissing pictures of Bruceybabe and look at our current league table and our results in 2014.
After you have digested that information please come back and acknowledge it is.......piss poor.
To save you the trouble, the numbers are as follows (league form only)
    Played 37
    won 6
    points 26
    scored 31
    conceded 54

So, only one game short of a season we have got 26 points. That is relegation form matey boy.
Wake up and smell the coffee.

I will say it again....if no points and no goals in the next two then brucy goes,

Now go and put the kettle on and we can all have tea.

    My sentiments exactly.
I do not dislike Bruce. I want him to succeed, but the results and performances are abysmal. For me, there are too many bad vibes around the club. Please sort it Brucey or go.

If all you're bothered about is Premier League survival, then all that matters is that 3 other teams have worse records than ours.

We were favourites for the chop last season and survived comfortably, and with half a season to play we are just 2 points and 1 goal from having a better record than 3 other clubs.

We are not yet an established team in this League, yet some of you seem to think it's our God given right.

Wake up and grow a pair.

Okay, lets just say it is solely to do with just premier league football (which it isn't). Why don't we try to make a fight of staying in this league. For a whole year we have struggled (read the stats above) and we are getting worse. 2 goals in 9 matches is it.

City have no end product that is what is pissing me off. We attack without numbers (did you see Sunland attack at the end of the match...5 or 6 of them busting a gut to score).

I live in the real world mate and one of the reasons why the attendances are falling is due to the lacklustre performances and lack of attempts at goal. Zero atttempts = zero goals

I havent read the previous 14 ****ing pages of this so apologies if it's been said....

The main consideration for me is what happens when we're relegated? At the minute we look a rudderless club in freefall. All those who say "well we'd come straight back up", take a look at Fulham, Bolton, Wigan, Wolves.... We're in real danger of doing the same. And no matter what anyone says about the job that Bruce is doing now, I cannot think of anyone I would rather have in charge to lead us to stability and then promotion from the Championship.

Changing manager now and appointing someone who wants to change 90% of the quad could **** us up for the next 10 years. That's not scaremongering, it's looking at what has happened elsewhere.

I like the way you are looking at both sides of the arguement (unlike some on here). Al I would say is if we did go down who is to say we would come back with or w/out Bruce ie like the clubs above. So in my view we try to fix it rather than let it fester.
