Yeah, the way that Steven Davis has stepped up and performed lately he is the obvious choice. He has captained Rangers and NI too
Nah, I'd stick with Davis. He keeps his head down, works his nuts off and is a model professional. Also has experience of the role.
Is pick Davis also, however I noticed Morgan talking to Gardos a lot during the game against Sheff Utd, in a skipper like manner. Mind you, he may just have been saying, "if he goes passed you, just maul him down fella"

At last my Sunday morning gets off to a good start again. Got so used to walking on air the last few weeks have been depressing. How good to see Targett, Gape and Reed on the pitch. Reed was brilliant and we have desperately needed some fresh legs in the side over the last few weeks. Well done young man, what a debut. The whole team were fantastic I thought but special mention to Yoshi simply because he has become a reliable composed part of our defence who basically won the game today I thought. Fonte and Yoshida can claim two of the goals as far as I'm concerned. Alderweireld was a rock too. Clyne had a tough time out there, they obviously had his side pegged as a major goal threat and did pretty well at shutting him out but he still caused problems and shut them down well. Player of the season so far for me. I get a little rush of excitement when he pulls the trigger on his shots from outside the box, not enough of our boys have the potential to score from distance. Speaking of which, Forster had a bloody good game, it must be very difficult to stand around doing nothing for 80 minutes and then pull out a couple of fine reaction saves. He's not had a stellar season but he's a damn fine keeper. What a relief to get some points and another clean sheet against a side who could have caused us some grief. COYR.
How could that not be a penalty? Overall that was a piss poor referring display. Long was denied at least three clear fouls. I suspect he's becoming known as a diver. The reality is that he cant stop getting himself tangled up and ends up on the ground far more than I would like but I've not seen him dive as such. He frustrates the hell out of me because he's all bustle and no end product. Full credit for the nod down to Pelle but for the rest of the game, like so much of the season he's all running and no finish. we'd be up the creek without him this season but he could be so much more dangerous than he is.
special mention to the formation and credit to the manager. It worked very well. We were never exposed and very difficult to break down.
On the subject of the Long non penalty...how the hell was that not a penalty and how the hell was that a corner? Referee was a complete knob
