I don;t know about that lol. But in his comment you quoted he wasn't. Our injury problems will stop at some point, and if we strengthen the CB position I can see our performances/wins looking a lot easier.

Its only delusional if its unlikely or never going to happen. Feel free to show me any examples.

I've never claimed we will win the league
De gea is the best keeper in the league
We are better than most other sides
We do have the worst injury crisis of all clubs
We do have a very good side
We were miles better than liverpool
    Deserved to beat arsenal
    We were lucky v saints
    Better than chelsea
city were fortunate not to drop points v 10 men
    Rodgers is a joke

Not sure which part of the above is anywhere near delusional. <ok>

I agree that is good van gaal is not happy. that is a good sign but he's not a perfectionist, he's a player breaker and relationship breaker. SO far its all sweetness and light isn't it.... well look at his record in the past of where isue arise. Best of luck with that.

also... its villa at villa park. Thats like a gimmie... so.... no you don't need sideshow, nor do you need di maria nor falcao nor a defence.

I am sorry treble but in all honesty and without bias you are ****ing miles off the club YOU were 6/7 years ago and you know that.

You are nowhere near Chelsea or city this year and I think at least you'd admit another cl game v bayern or real would fill you with foreboding just like it would us.

Be honest at least... Compared so where utd were this side is way off

Compared to united 2008? Most sides are way off that incredible side.

Were much closer to city and chelsea than you like to thing though. Neither impress me at all. City are the better of the two though. They will win the league just (they are noy capable of winning it like a united side, by dominating the league) but they will plod their way to an uninspiring title.

But you're comparing us against the two best club sides in world. No shame in admitting we'd get our arses handed to us by them. We are not the finished article. But I honestly don't believe we are miles off and I'll give you good reasons why I'm confident of that. 6/7 years ago we had Carrick, an aging Scholes and Fletcher/Hargreaves in our best midfield. And with each passing season that became worse and worse as the likes of Anderson failed to deliver and squad players like Ji Sung Park became first teamers. It was really only Fergie's hand on the team that made us greater than the sum of our parts, but fck me we played some dire **** at times. Now we have a creative midfield or one that shows glimpses of expansive one touch football and movement that will only get better as the team gels. Herrera, Mata, Blind, Carrick, Di Maria fill me with real optimism. Trust me, if I thought otherwise I would genuinely say so. We probably still need someone like Carvalho to eventually replace Carrick. Here's the real telling thing though MITO, in the last 8 years we've had fck all goals from midfield, you can check the stats. Now I see goals from all over our midfield.

6/7 years ago our attack was Tevez, Saha, Rooney at its best with Ronaldo. Now we have Rooney, RVP and Falcao (and Wilson looking a real prospect) with Di Maria.

Goalkeeper we can move past as that's an easy one. The only difference, the only thing people can pick us up on is our defence. That's what is holding us back. We have squad players as centre halves tbh. 5/6 years ago a lot of our dominance was based on psychology. That came from our defence as much as our attack. Teams were afraid to attack. If we buy a commanding, universally recognised CB and start showing confidence at the back, we instill that same mentality in our opposition very quickly imo.

As for Chelsea or City, yeh this season is too soon in all honesty. I'm hoping rather than expecting but nah it aint going to happen. To overtake one you can try but both, not happening. But next season, with a couple of additions, I think we can compete with them. I'm not going to start comparing squads, that's unnecessary because it's about how you do against the other 18 teams (as Liverpool almost showed last season) and I don't see why not.

Only thing with Man U is they haven't really planned for the future. Players like Carrick, RVP , Fellani, Valenia and Yiung are players who won't get any better. Carrick has been great since coming back but how long will that last till her drops like Gerrard? How long until RVP gets another injure and your stuck with Rooney, an injuired Falcoa and Wilson?

Di Maria is a great player, no doubt but will he be there is five years time? Not for me. If he proves his credentials again he could be off to any great team and if he doesn't perform as well expected then could be dropped for the next best thing.

Mata again is a great player but not one who will be there until mid 30s doing crucial things.

With Man U though is that they have a great amount of wealth by there side to always help them, something which every team wants and only few have.

  12. Interested to know what you mean by that.

Are you saying its easy to see whether the current keeper (DDG) or the 6/7yrs ago keeper (EVS) was better...? If so, surely its got to be EVS which then puts a bit of a mockery on the blowjob you guys have been giving DDG!

If you mean DDG being the best in the league currently, its not an easy one is it? Its only easy in your opinion, most votes are split between two keepers (DDG & TC) with a third (HL) involved too.

Honestly my point was competing at the sharp end in Europe rather than compare you to those two teams

Chelsea will give the lot a run in Europe, not city though.

However sure sure you've no goals from midfield but you had tonnes up top

So let's not be adding mr falcao til he can actually be seen fully fit!

Right now utd are only 200 mil of where they need to be and sorry but no amount of ass covering pundits will change what your own Garry Neville said which was you'd need to spend that to get there

It's not a bad thing to have your own high standards to be held to... Every time I demand more from lfc I'm told I'm negative!

You can't replace everyone in one go. For 4/5 years we have been crying out for creativity in midfield and with Blind, Herrera, Mata, Di Maria coming in we now have that. Evra has been replaced by a young Shaw. We have a young RB but probably need another one.

I don't see Di Maria's or Mata's longevity as much of a problem. World class players will always have their head turned, so what do you do, stop buying them? No, you just keep rebuilding. In the meantime you make the most of it which is what I expect for at least the next 2/3 seasons and then who knows, they may leave, they may extend their contracts. As for our strikeforce, things change pretty quickly but agree we will need to replace RVP. Who would have thought we'd have Falcao 7 months ago? If RVP and say Carrick are the big concern that's not much in terms of planning for the future, certainly no different to any of the other top sides around Europe.

Who will be the first to admit they are annoyed. Who thought we would languishing mid table just now?

Come on. Who is big enough to say they were wrong (to this point).
