Whether it was intended with a purpose or not, the decision to play in the white 3rd kit at Bournemouth was the biggest single mistake the club has made for a while - and that's saying something.

No matter what "plausible" explanations are offered, the decision not to play in blue will be seen as just more evidence of the regime's intention to marginalise those who will never accept the need to change to red, and that will get the club nowhere. Did no one have the intelligence to relaise the probable implications of that decision - or was just another deliberate two fingers up at the diehards?

An apology from Choo and the future assurances are an indication that whoever made the white decision didn't take a wider view and f**ed up big time.

Red, white, yellow or blue (blue preferably of course) but the colour of the shirt does not excuse the largely lame performances in 2014, and certainly should not be used to gloss over the severe shortcomings in the club's managerial selections, the players bought and the performances.

Two different issues Nin - the abject s**t we're being subjected to on the pitch is nothing to do with the abject s**t the supporters are being subjected to off it.

I'm not in any way a "colour fanatic" like some on here and on other forums particularly, but even the least vociferous supporters who have tried to take the positives out of this set up can't fail to be unimpressed by the decision to wear white last weekend.

The playing side of things and also Slade's performance are another matter. At the moment, I'm tending to think appointing him could be a big mistake.

I've got the same sinking feeling as watching Ole attempt to manage us in the PL. He was blatantly out of his depth, Slade may prove me wrong at some point but I think he's totally one dimensional and there's a reason he's never managed in the top 2 tiers in a 20 year career.

Dalman's job should be on the line if we have to get rid of Slade as he certainly can't be left to **** up the next appointment.

I reckon Slade has 3 games to save his job here.

Anybody with half an ounce of football knowledge must see him and Young are Evostick/Ryman league standard.

"We must learn what we did versus Rotherham.."

So he plays the same eleven at Bournemouth. <steam>

Seeing Reading snare Steve Clarke <grr>

I'd renew my ST now if the funds were used to sack Slade and bring in Pulis, or have we been down that road before? <laugh>

Slade was Tan's appointment. Tan made that quite clear when he put the responsibility for bringing Ole here firmly on Dalman's shoulders.

That doesn't mean he wont blame Dalman for Slade being here mind you....<laugh>

Strangely enough, Dalman has been very quiet since Choo was made CEO - could he be being sidelined and on his own way out?

The roles of CEO and Chairman can be quite different with CEO responsible for implementing board policy and day to day running of the business while the Chairman is a figure head - the public face of the business - although some large businesses have combined the 2 roles with varying degrees of success and failure. With all the flack flying around perhaps Dalman is doing the best thing and keeping his head down until there are some positive developments to make public. <whistle>

clutching at straws here trying to find a scape goat i think. Yes slade is a lower league manager but that is the type of manager you can attract while tan is calling the shots. No decent manager will risk his career working with someone like tan in a million years. pullis ?? your having a laugh...

Yes Dai, you'd know. The fact Pullis basically said (publically) he'd have loved the job but wasn't approached should be ignored and your mad ramblings taken as gospel.

Season ticket sales would rocket if Pulis became the manager. Sadly I can't see it happening as that would amount to Tan admitting he was wrong. Unfortunately, if the present style of football continues, crowds will plummet. It's a pity Tan doesn't attend but maybe he can't even stand to watch the dross on offer.

    Who asked you anyway?

You should concern yourself with your one man team becoming a no man's team in January once Winifred Bonio departs to a big club.
