    Green
    Isla Caulker Dunne Hill
    Vargas Fer Henry Krancjar
    Austin Zamora

We have no room for sentiment or 'favourites' which is why I am replacing YSY and Barton as both have gone completely off the boil.

Phillips and Hoilett need to be sold to release funds for more productive people as I have previously stated.

I would not dream off picking the above team away from home unless we were on a suicide mission!

A good line up, but I would not drop Yun. We need stability and Yun is still learning. I also feel that Hoilett was good enough to keep his place. I want Kranky in my team, but maybe he would be best used in the last 30 mins against WBA.

Sorry I don't get it re Hoilett but would love him to prove me wrong. As someone said 4 points from WBA and CPalace. We have to write off the Arsenal game, realistically. Heavens knows what the side will be v Sheff Utd. May even give SWP a run out assuming he hasn't gone to Brentford by then.

Hoilett was one of the few last night who didn't wimp out of 50:50 tackles.

I was obviously watching a different game. That's precisely the reason he got injured, in my opinion.

he was fine i thought. looks like at least something might happen when he has the ball and thats a start. significantly better than Phillips IMO.

Why not? We are already on a suicide mission with the current tactics and lack of motivation away from home. Krancjar must start both home and away IMO as without him we are devoid of creativity. Playing Mutch rather than him last night was bordering on the farcical. And two up front is now a must in all games.

Think hoilett was ok last night just needs a really good run in the team he has never really had it though Injuries ect, I wouldn't want us to sell him the minute we do you know he will tear it up and come good. Frustrating player.

    ---------Green---------
    Isla--Dunne--Caulker--Yun
    ---------Henry---------
    Kranjcar---Fer---Hoilett--
    -----Austin---Vargas-----

Maybe Vargas on RM, Kranjcar on Left and BZ up front with Austin (so taking Hoilett out). Whatever happens we need to start with two up top. I like Kranjcar but he worries me defensively, whoever he plays in front of gets very little support when defending. He'd probably be better in the hole behind the striker, but that then leaves us with 1 up front.

I'd give Hoilett another half or 60 min or so to see what he can do. He needs a run of games at least to try and build confidence. When he gets his head up he can actually pass the ball, as shown when he slid it into Mutch before our goal against Everton. If he can get his head out of his ankles he can be a threat. Oh and please stop cutting inside and shooting Junior.

You always know what you'll get from Hoilett. You'll get effort, you'll get running and you'll get pace. You'll never get anything on the end of his moves though because he simply doesn't know what to do with the ball when he reaches the opponents box. But he does have a nuisance factor that keeps one or two of their players out of the game.

Matt Phillips doesn't even have the nuisance factor. In fact, I think the other Phillips would give you more than what he did last night. At least he'd run around in circles.

I've heard that's how they train SWP, they just throw a bouncy ball around a room and get him to chase it.

If I ever had the misfortune of facing a firing squad I'd want those two in it.

I like that team but think we must play Nico, which probably means playing either him or Fer out of position on the left instead of Junior. Far from ideal, but that's what you get when you build your squad they way we have.

    Barton will play, of course.

Harsh to drop Green on the basis of a couple of miskicks.

Barton will play, but I wouldn't pick him after last night.
I'd also like Kranjcar in the side, so maybe him on the left as he would be a liability in the centre of a 4-4-2 imo.

He always looks dodgy to me and I think McCarthy is a very, very good keeper.

Completely agree with this team, with Niko coming on for Hoilett at some point (hopefully we're winning by then!)
