I think Clichy has been a bit of a liability for us the last couple of seasons, but that said, we need to replace him with someone at least as good - Baines or Enrique would be a good choice.

I would of hoped we would of brought a replacement in 1st. There doesn't event seem to be any LBs lined up at all at the moment!
 
mmm...have to wait and see, it's a risky strategy, but hopefully Wenger is already in negotiations with players he wants to bring in. If we just stick Gibbs in there and hope for the best, I think we're going to come unstuck.
 
Gibbs is a decent player & may improve & turn out to be a good replacement. But he's another injury prone player & we already have enough of those!
 
No disrespect to Gibbs, but I don't think he's at the level we need at the moment. He may well become a great LB, but we need someone in there who can hit the ground running, not take 2 seasons to get up to speed.
 
I'm sure Wenger has some half pint Frenchman who can't speak a word of English waiting in the wings...no doubt he'll have bags of potential and leave just as he matures into a decent player as well<laugh>
