Chelsea are the latest club to show interest in Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri as they draw-up a list of summer targets.

The France international is now into the final year of his contract at the Emirates and has turned down a five-year £90,000 a week deal.

Manchester United, Manchester City and now Chelsea are all interested in taking advantage of the Gunners' strict salary structure to sign the player.

Nasri knows he could double the £90,000 a week figure at any of the other clubs, and is likely to pick-up a large signing-on fee from the successful bidder too.

As with Manchester City-bound Gael Clichy, Wenger is struggling to justify keeping an unhappy player at the club, only to lose them for nothing at the end of next season. He is likely to instead aim to get some money back on his £15.8million purchase.

The Arsenal boss' preference would be to move the 24-year-old abroad, but Nasri is said to want a move to United.

I think you guys should put in a massive bid for RVP, who clearly will want away from AFC when they've lost half their best players. £25 million should be a good starting offer for you.

He'd be a fantastic partner for Torres, but it would mean that you would most certainly lose both Anelka and Drogba.

Ah, Peskie! I wondered how long it would take you to come crawling out from beneath your rock.

Unlike every single Gooner on this site, us neutral fans do not wear a pair of Whinger's rose-tinted spectacles when we look at what's happening to you Gooners this Summer. You've been in decline for many years, now, and this is the Summer that all your chickens are coming home to roost. If Fab, Clichy and Nasri all leave, RvP will follow. I am merely pointing out to our Chelsea brethren that they should make a preemptive bid for him to test the waters. Indeed, I think it's going to be inevitable.

What's your problem with that? If you took off your spectacles you'd see that it's a very real possibility.

Most of this talk is newspaper speculation and it would be quicker to name the players Chelsea are allegedly not buying. Can't personally see how Nasri would be an improvement on what we have at present but you seem more intent on winding up the Arsenal fans. This of course is permissible but it would be appreciated if this was done away from the Chelsea board please. <ok>

I have no idea with most transfer rumours whether they are true or not, but it seems clear Fabregas is to go and probably Nasri as that rumour has a lot of legs.

However, Chelsea ( or Man City) cannot possibly buy all the players they are linked with as they would have an huge amount of players, many of whom will not play in the 1st team and be on 100k a week or more. Although fans scoff at the financial fair play rules and think UEFA will do nothing to stop owners like Abramovich and Mansour, I bet those 2 are not stupid enough to at least be aware of possible implications in spending as they have in the past. They did not get rich by being stupid.

The rumours seem to be growing stronger in the press that Nasri will be going to City.

My own view is, that if United came in for him, he'd join them, regardless of what either City or Chelsea offer.

What we do have in our favour is that he might not have to move if he came to us. He might prefer to stay in London.

Would be a great signing for us but I think a move up'north seems more likely especially once city start offer 3 trillion zillion dollars a day wages!!
