This thread is gold. Forster's our keeper, and no better or worse then Boruc and his cock up's from last season. It's funny how a player that isn't even playing for us seem's so much better all of a sudden. Weird that.

boruc's cock ups mainly manifested in freak occurrences and arrogance though, rather than poor basic competence.

i only remember the begovic goal and the giroud debacle tbh. if it wasn't for his suspect health i would very strongly in his camp.

Didn't take long for the first bitching at a player thread.

Drop fonte whilst we are it, he's been a liability the last few games. /sarcasm

Leave the big guy alone. He's young, he will prove himself.

What a **** thread. Some of you have short memories. Five days ago he was hailed as fantastic against Arsenal. I can't rememeber how many times Boruc was given stick in here. People forgotten Arsenal away last year?

Some fans are so fickle it is embarrassing. Too many expect perfection and pick up on every error. I've not seen the replay, but it looked like he should have come for the cross on the second goal. It's wmbaressing the way some fans turn on their team.

We lost this game because the attacking players couldn't finish.

Where's the Font out thread? (Not that I've had a single moan about him as he just made a mistake; that's all. (Though I remember him doing it twice in a couple of games in the Championship).

Absolute drivel. One of the things that I am happiest about is that saints give a chance to young English talent. He makes one mistake after being statistically the best keeper in the league and you call for his head.

    Utterly moronic.

Sometimes I'm embarrassed by Saints fans. People expect perfection every time.

But this isn't his first error though. He comes racing out against Villa when Toby had it covered and cost us a goal. I could have lived with that except now he can't get it out of his head and this results in more errors. And more will follow unless he gets a grip and blocks it out from his mind.

For the record, he has come for. Half a dozen crosses in the last couple of games and looked commanding. I think he should have come for this one but he didn't; so be it.

By the way, why oh why has nobody asked why United had two unmarked players at the far post for a set-piece? Shocking defending? No, let's find a scapegoat and slaughter him.

Fraser is still young but will be the next England keepwer and will save us many points over the next few seasons. Last season Uniteds keeper was being slated. He's now a hero.

or people had their fill of keepers that commit the same basic errors time after time with davis, and until now gave the benefit of the doubt to forster when the reports were of a flawed keeper.

rather than calling for boruc to return, i hope to god he improves. it seems that's our only option.

Sorry, didn't realise we're not allowed to criticise players.

One mistake? He's made at least 3 in the last 4 games. All to do with his judgement and decision making.

One thing is for certain: we must get some serious competition for Forster.

Lets face it Forster's decision making for a goal keeper is very poor, up till recently we have got away with it because he has had very little to do this season. He is a good shot stopper but he's a ****ing premier league goalie that is at the very least what he should be, saying that is like saying and outfield player is good at kicking the ball.

I don't have a problem with Forster though, the last few games we have seemed a bit more like the old Southampton, we've looked a bit nervous and we've made silly mistakes, which we have been punished for. On a side note what is the ****ing point of Mane.

And if Forster does what De Gea did and sort his keeping out I will happily admit I was wrong.

Forster doesn't need to improve. His place in team is guaranteed. What he got away with in spl was fine as celtic always would score another goal not the case at saints.

The guy though should be just young enough to fix these problems out and saints goalies do tend to get the hard end of the stick from fans
