<laugh>.................If you say so swanselona........<cheers>

By your logic Shelvey is being ruined by Monk right? Afterall he was pretty damn good for us under ML, but under Monk he hasn't quite been the same, sack Monk!!!! Hmmm wonder if he has ruined Rangel and Leon too..... ;)

Agree with most of that but it is only one game he's been .... shocking. Maybe he doesn't like weeks off.
I though Jazz Richards was outstanding given how little game time he's had. Unfortunately he won't get 30 games 'to 'get up to speed' like Taylor has had.
I have always thought Jazz was worth persevering with but his play this season has been much better than I expected (as has Ki's). He has played left and right full back with four different players on his inside, quite a feat for an irregular player. His passing is really spot on so I was surprised a few passes went astray in the first half today and his tackling is accurate and strong. He doesn't take any nonsense from the opposition either.

Yes Jazz passsed the ball well...but passed it backwards all the time!!

This was making life easy for West Ham in terms of closing down our space. I do however agree about Jazz to a certain degree, he was a good prospect for us but i feel he will never progress in our team and needs to go on loan, problem is when he went on loan he didn't pull up trees!

Jazz wasn't the reason why we lost though, West Ham were better than us and we wern't prepared to match them in whatever system Monk was trying to impliment.( like you not sure what that was either)

Bad day at the office but lets get real, there are teams like Palace, leicster,West Ham,Stoke and QPR who will enjoy getting direct and physical, we need to find a solution to the problem if we want to progress, our away form is bottom 3 which is quite suprising but it also means we need to think of ways to combat the likes of West Ham etc.

Today was dissapointing but certainly not season defining !

We will move on but i was expecting us to be like stoke away last season where we were nothing like that at all today.

We're up to 4th in the League - in the FA Fair Play League. Below Stoke, Newcastle and Man City as the dirtiest teams in the league.

I thought discipline was the new black this season!

Fewer back passes than Taylor and Montero was marked out of the game so until Ki moved more towards the left Ash and Britton were his only pass options and he rarely hits and hopes long ball. For me Jazz was the pick of the defence and keeps his place.

Jazz to be replaced by Taylor if only for the fact ive yet to see him move beyond his winger to create space, though in fairness today there wasn't much chance to do that .

I like Jazz though, just feel he has been a bit left behind over the last few seasons.

Id start Tiendelli and Jazz next gamwe , if only to assure Rangel and Taylor that they are not automatic and must work hard in training to get in next game .
Fab (card will be resinded
Tiendelli , Fernandez( If available ) , Williams , Jazz
Dyer , Britton , Ki , Siggy , Montero
Bony
That my team for next game

Bartley ran away from Carroll on the first goal , so he could secure a spot with nobody around lefty , Carroll was suppose to be Bartley's man all game , it was clear to see .

Wgat utter tosh. yes he was his for set pieces probably. So you want Bartley to follow carroll alll around the pitch. Talking rubish, the days of man marking in open play are gone. He would have mauked him for set pieces and for kick outs and at various other times in the game. There are 3 other defendrs and thay all have to take responsibilityfor defending. So if somone else is in a more fangerous position than Carroll Bartley by your reasoning should leave that player and saty with Carroll. don't think so. the goal was conceded because firstly we didnt make enough effort to stop the cross and then Rangel making no effort to challenge carroll.

Thats great logic, lets play possibly inferior players to make a point. That will keep us in the top 10 and get us 3 points. Taylor missed a game through suspension and not because of his form.

Jazz is not too bad a player but has to turn inside all the time because he is too right footed to play left back.

That's a fair comment, but as a utility stand in, he's been put in a number of positions over the last 4 seasons, mostly in our back line of course, but isn't he a midfielder by trade? Anyway yes he has his strengths and weaknesses like any player, but it would help if we settled him down to at least one position he could get used to, and get his teeth into (Right Back?)........<ok>

By the way I think we should appeal the red card.

That's good because having seen the replay, we should have had a free kick not Fab getting sent off, we really are having a raw deal from these referees this season, anyway let Carol and Co bask in their ten minutes of sunshine, as it will not last much longer, I do not see big Sam's Hammers staying in the top 8 for too much longer, we made them look like Champions league today!...............<ok>

That was more disappointing than anything. We gave them too much respect, when in fact they didn't have too much about them. If we had played our normal game I think we would have three points in the bag. Hindsight is a wonderful though!

What could go wrong went wrong and monk has to shoulder the blame this time. He played players out of position to accommodate little Leon who quite frankly was muscled off the ball every time a west ham player tackled him. Jazz panicked every time he got the ball and could not wait to get rid of it normally to a west ham player, Bartley was another player who panicked and could not deal with carrolls experience. The whole team were all out of sorts making mistakes because of players they are use to being in a position was not there. Monk must learn from this and he is a good manager so im sure he will...

Actually, Jazz was far more composed on the ball, passed better and was more solid in the tackle than Rangel.

Monk has done well up to now we all thought he would not last, His one downfall at the moment is when to bring on the subs. Jazz I thought had a good game on sunday Bartley was at fault for they first goal, was they second one a own goal I thought Leon was the last to touch it as he tried to clear it,I think we will see Taylor back vs Spurs. What worrys me is our no 1 Goalie is not playing and are we safe at the back with out him.

Leon left his post to "guard" at the edge of the six yard box - ridiculous when you consider Bony parks himself and dominates that zone. Leon tried to get back to the post position when the corner went long, but didn't get there in time. If he'd been on the post then he would have had a simple clearance, as it was he was he just helped it in.

If we don't get the red rescinded then Tremmell is going to have to kick it up a notch, but let's be honest it was tough on Sunday to come on cold late in a game with your two CBs playing like it was their first ever game ... ever. He probably could have done better with the third goal and he's not going to have to deal with the likes of Carroll when he plays.

Based on the performances on Sunday I think Jazz should switch to RB and Taylor comes in at LB. If we play Rangel then Dyer must start in front of him ... Rangel and Routs don't work as well together.
