If they've now reverted back to long ball full-time, then ultimately I believe it will be their down fall. But against a side like Swansea, I could always see it having a great success. They're not exactly a physical team.

If they keep up that style then i can see them slipping down the league again. Ok i hope they slip down the league because if we potentially lost out of european football to them, I would be very miffed indeed.

This could be one of the most exciting seasons ever in the premier league. Getting so close at the top and Newcastle matching our best run! Could really use a win tomorrow but just looking forward to a good game to be honest.

There was handball anyway.....lucky lucky hammers.
Plus their second goal should go down as an own goal and not one for Carroll.

Since Pelle and Mane lost their perfectly good goals for themselves to own goals against Sunderland, I think I've seen at least half a dozen which have been equal or better candidates for own goal consideration. Nevertheless, they've stayed with the shooter. Frankly, I reckon it's a bloody lottery.

pssht, Allardyce isn't Wenger, he has tactical nous', if you play the same way against every team you will lose. We started the game playing on the floor, had little success, switched around, went direct and got all 3 points. You can sit and talk stats all day when it comes to Carroll, West ham fans know what they have in AC and most are happy he's there. Of course we could do without the injuries but when he's fit, as he is now, he causes problems for most teams and really puts himself around for the sake of the team. Yes he's a target man, but there is far more to his game, we just didn't have the players last season to exploit it, mainly because we had the worst injury hit season I can ever remember us having, which included a 1 month spell without a striker, 2 months without a first team midfielder and needed a CB who couldn't get a game in the championship, we had to play a youth side and a B team side in cup games just to make sure we had the semblance of an XI for the league. His biggest problem has always been the £35m Liverpool paid for him, I think he's going to really stuff words down peoples throats this year now he has some decent service and a foil in Sakho.

I missed Trixter's visit yesterday and I know he will read this as he loves us and reads every thread every day .... it would have been such a good thread mate, if you had been able to call it, "That my friends is how you go 2nd".... then it would have been funny. mocking and entertaining. However you chose to make a post celebrating an achievement beneath what we have already reached. Well done. Numpty.

If he is reading this then I am afraid it is as a guest, as his new account is now also banned. You are quite right though FLT, the only thing West Ham could do now to improve on what we have done is either go top, or finish higher than us. I suppose now they have resorted to their old hoofball approach they might do the latter, but they certainly won't get much higher in the table than they currently are.

Probably a good job I was running around like a lunatic between kids' sporting event all weekend then eh? :p

Repeatedly bent and then broke forum rules, I would imagine.

He was already banned on 2 separate accounts for repeated WUMming, then yesterday started a new account just to WUM us about WHU's league position. Hopefully by 10pm this evening the natural order will have been restored, and by that I don't mean Man U ahead of us!

Or them. In whichever scenario, bar the game being called off, WHU are in a false position.
