This is when players get an unfair rep to be honest. Barkley did dive the first time. Mariner? sees the game on MOTD or something... and then in the next game allows that incident to cloud his judgement and unfairly books him the second time. Results in player now gaining a rep as serial diver when he really isn't.

Fabianski fouls Sakho out wide, allows play to go on, forward has his shot and hits the post... ref then brings it back gives a foul and a red card!
How has he denied a clear goal scoring opportunity when a guy has an open goal to tap in and score and he missed

No, there was contact in both incidents but due to awful punditry from the like of that clueless kopite bell end Redknapp, people seem to think that contact automatically equals foul.

I'm not defending THIS decision, but just because someone has a shot doesn't mean an opportunity wasn't denied.
You can have a tap in into an open goal, get hacked down, try to get up again, stretch for the ball that has now rolled away from you and toe it just wide.
Then you should be punished for playing to the whistle instead of not staying down if the red isn't still given?
If that was Suarez I would have been a disappointed, and opposition fans would be calling for a ban.
