    MATCH PREVIEW: QPR V BURNLEY

FOR the second weekend running, Rangers play host to a fellow newly-promoted club at Loftus Road.

This time, it’s Burnley who make the long trip down from Lancashire, following on from last weekend’s rip-roaring clash versus Leicester City in W12.

The Clarets, of course, were promoted to the top-flight last term as runners-up – and they head to Loftus Road bang in form!

After a disappointing start to the season, in which they failed to win any of their opening 10 fixtures, Burnley have enjoyed an upturn in fortunes in recent weeks, with two wins and two draws from their last four.

Much of that success is down to the prolific form of front-man Danny Ings, who – despite missing a month of the season earlier in the campaign due to injury – has now scored three goals in his last three appearances, and four in total this term.

Back-to-back victories over Hull City and Stoke City followed by home draws versus Aston Villa and Newcastle United, in midweek, have seen them climb off the bottom of the table.

But the R’s – despite Tuesday’s away defeat at Swansea City – are made of stern stuff at home this season, with two wins and a draw from their last three in W12, and will be hopeful of continuing that run this weekend.

Charlie Austin is likely to feature against his former club on Saturday afternoon and will be hopeful of adding to the seven goals he’s already notched this season.

Bobby Zamora, who Austin largely credits for his fine start to life in the Premier League, could be set for a recall to the starting XI following a recent back complaint.

Burnley, meanwhile, are again likely to be minus the services of Michael Duff (calf) and Matt Taylor (Achilles), whilst Stephen Ward is also out owing to an ankle ligament problem.

    PRE-MATCH TALK - QPR V BURNLEY

R’s skipper, Joey Barton: “We’ve got to keep going.

“We are well aware of our situation and what we’ve got to do. We need to dust ourselves down, recover and be ready to go for another six-pointer on Saturday.

“Last season, we went to Burnley and played into their hands a little bit by trying to play out from the back against a team that was going to press.

“We have changed our game plan at home, and if we can get the service into our forwards, get crosses into the box and get on the front foot with the crowd behind us, we'll give ourselves a great chance of continuing our form at home.

“I am really, really looking forward to Saturday.”

Clarets boss, Sean Dyche: “There is a nice balance to how the team are delivering performances and we are having to work hard for everything we get, but it's fair to say we are certainly handling things very well at the moment.

“There was always going to be a settling in period, but we now look solid as a group.

“But this is a very unforgiving league, so we have to keep building and taking that into performances.

“We know we have to get wins, but on the other hand we can't be greedy. We are taking it one step at a time and we are moving forward.”

CHLOE POWER TO LEAD OUT QPR AGAINST BURNLEY

YOUNG QPR fan Chloe Power will lead out the R's when Burnley come to town in the Barclays Premier League this weekend.

Chloe hit the headlines last month when she was struck in the face by Yaya Toure's shot during the first half of our 2-2 draw against Manchester City in the Barclays Premier League.

Footage emerged via social networks of Chloe, a Season Ticket holder in the Lower Loft, being hit by Toure's 27th minute strike and the club acted immediately after the full-time whistle to try and track down the five year-old.

Having touched base with the family, who live locally to Loftus Road, the club received positive news that Chloe was fine despite the hefty blow she took to the face.

She was soon back in W12, spending the afternoon with Spark, the club mascot, as well as receiving a signed QPR shirt, Yaya's match-worn City jersey and plenty of gifts from the club Superstore.

The club saved the best until last, however, presenting Chloe with a mascot package for this weekend!

Reading Hill's comment at the end, if Harry gets sacked or leaves towards the end of the season, could he take up the reigns?

If we play 4-4-2, which I'm pretty sure we will and they play 4-5-1, I fear they will have a lot of the ball and out-play us in the middle.

However, the result is all that matters and I won't care if they have 60% possession so long as we have more goals.

Leaving in an hour or so. Come on URRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrssssssssssssssss!!

I think the clue is in the surname. Of course there are some stunning lookers from that part of the world but perhaps in the minority?

Of much greater importance, delighted to see young Chloe looking hale and hearty. My heart sank when I saw her take that thump in the face. I wonder if she is related to the 'Power' family that were involved in the club during the gun fiasco??

Pretty sure both Jutkievic and Ings will start, making it 442 v 442. Enjoy the day out mate. Think we'll win, in the same squeaky bum way we did against Leicester.

Having wide players who track back could be the key to prevent Burnley scoring. Dyche likes his sides to get the ball out wide quickly and push the full backs up as second wingers to create crosses into the box. If we concede because they've doubled up on our full back with no tracker ( Fer ) I'll be pretty f**king furious.

Especially Trippier, and he is like you say on Fer's side. Having two defensive midfielders who can move sideways should help. Hoilett tracked back very well in the play off final and should definitely be a contender to start. But I would not drop Fer. I like his courage, never shirks away and not afraid to put his foot on the ball. Sometimes it goes wrong (Swansea's second), but I'd much rather have players who wants to take responsibility than shirking away from it. In my opinion Fer is much more effective in home games, something the management should have seen too.

I agree. I'd play Fer in the middle instead of Barton and have Hoilett or Traore on the left.

John Motson - BBC Match of the Day commentator
    QPR v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

"QPR manager Harry Redknapp has aptly described this match as "a real six-pointer", their second in a row at Loftus Road. I can't imagine this will be a five-goal thriller like last weekend's win over Leicester but, if anyone is going to score, you would bet on it being Charlie Austin or Danny Ings.
"Burnley have improved, there's no doubt about that. Eight points from four matches is a sound statement by a team perhaps now attuned to the demands of the Premier League.
"Notwithstanding QPR's good home form and Burnley's improvement, it looks like it will be a real struggle all season for both clubs. If either were given the option now of survival on the last day of the season, I would think they would take that."
