Interestingly though, Liverpool's bench the other day included Lallana, Markovic, Can, Lovren and Moreno. Now there's a manager who's realised he's spunked a load of money on players who are ****ter than the players he already had. Doubt the Anfield money men will be giving Hodgers much more cash to spend!

 

I think Lallana and Moreno are quality players, fair enough we over paid for the former. Can could become a great player too but only time will tell.

Ironic thing is, I've not included Lovren in that but he'd improve Man Utd

So Liverpool's defensive record is the hallmark now is it? I wouldn't get to confident about having a better defensive record than us, we concede because we leave the two CB's to defend on their own

 

I think saying that Lovren, who is too **** to get into a **** Liverpool defence, would improve United arguably brings the quality of Liverpool's defence into the discussion.

Liverpool concede because their best centre half is Kolo Toure who was bought as a squad player.

 

Isn't it about getting the best out of the team? It should actually be Skrtel that's dropped, we'd see a much better Lovren if he was allowed to play alongside Toure, ie an organiser.

PS...I never said he was good, just that he'd improve you CB area. I think he's a better CB than Smalling, Evans and co. but that's more a slate on those players than praising Lovren. I omitted him from my response to your comment about our bench too

The simple premise is van gaal's love of Dms and structure would cause lovern to thrive whereas David Brent has no clue

Lovern was despite all the angry saints fans brilliant last year, he can be brilliant at what he does but not under Rodgers I feel

 

He hasn't done too bad of late tbf to him.

Skrts has gone off the rails and Lovren just hasn't fired.

 

Our defence is solid. Barely conceded a goal recently and thats all the stat books will show.

You need to track back. There is a thread on their board somewhere, it was their rating of the regular first teamers where they put each player in rank of performance/importance. Despite them claiming he's **** since he shat on them in the summer, most of them had Lovren in their top three. Lallana was in that said top three a lot too
