And we're also linked to Lee Cattermole. Good lord.

What makes you think that Bony can't partner Sturridge, or that Mario would do it better than him?

Bony has spent most of his career as a target man and understands the role, combined with his incredible strength.

Mario has played the best when he's playing as a support striker in a partnership.

EDIT: That's not to say that Bony can't play with a partner. It's just about playing to a player's strengths.

Technical ability would be a prerequisite.

    And Borini lacks intelligence.

Just being strong and experienced as a target man doesn't mean you can't partner though. From what I've seen of Bony, he's not bad at bringing others into play, laying it off, drawing defenders etc. Not saying that he's the best target out there, just that I could see a partnership with Studge working, at least to a certain degree (obviously not Suarez levels).

Being able to get a game would also be a prerequisite, so for that reason alone he fails <ok>

I really like Bony. He's not like Suarez but he is very neat and creative for his style. He drops deep and makes a lot of great little touches and flicks to forward runners. He'd word brilliantly with Sturridge and Sterling.

I'm now imagining a poetry slam collaboration between Bony, Studge and Sterling....

Bony is a good player, don't get me wrong. I just don't want that style of player in the team. Maybe as a back up.

Plus, we had a chance to sign before he moved to Swansea for around £10m. Now we want to sign him for at least £20m. It's the same with Lovren (even we should never have signed him in the first place).

I rather we steer clear of the English market because there's simply no value there.

  11. We should be aiming for better than Benteke and Bony!

In the summer all of the repetative transfer rumours in the press turned out to be true. Moreno, Markovic, Can, Lallana, Lovren and Balotelli were all heavily talk about in the press. The only real surprises were Manquillo and Lambert.

If the same is happening now we may have to prepare ourselves to welcome Jackson Martinez (unless he chooses Spurs).

  19. Lambert was talked about too. Balotelli wasn't all summer, just the last 3-4 weeks
