Glenn Morris - 7 - Solid back up keeper. Impressed me a lot at Yeovil and have heard good reports about him. However as he hasn't appeared in the league I don't know what he would be like playing on a regular basis.
Stephen Bywater (Loan) - 7 - Loan signing brought in when Nelson got injured. I was impressed with his shot stoppings and the way he tried to distribute the ball quickly unlike Nelson who seems to take a age and I would have given him an 8 but he does make mistakes such as at Swindon and Fleetwood so I stuck with a 7.
John Egan - 9.5 - Easily the best of his signings. Excellent defender and over the last couple of games has been popping up with some goals. Can bring the ball out of the defence with confidence and can't really think of any thing he has done wrong. I think that unless he gets a serious injury like a leg break I do seriously believe that he will play in the Premier League.
Kortney Hause (Loan) - 8.5 The mainstay of the defence alongside John Egan until he got recalled. Another solid defender and was versatile as he showed while playing Swindon (where he played LB for part of the game) and popped up with a goal. However the main thing that he didn't do compared Egan was I never really remember him being confident and brining the ball out of defence.
Max Ehmer (Loan) - 7.5 - Obviously only seen him in a couple of games, but looks very capable. Quick across the ground and when he makes the odd mistake he quickly clears up for it.
Gavin Hoyte - 7 - Seems solid enough. Goes forward a fair amount, doesn't set the world on fire and certainly not the most game - changing of his signings but seems trustworthy enough.
Adam Chicksen (Loan) - 7.5 - Like a better version of Hoyte. Same in a defensive fashion in that he is very solid but also gets forward to good effect and seems good at intercepting passes/ headers rather than just standing off the defenders.
Aaron Morris - 6.5 - Was very impressive when he played in Defensive Midfield when he first came here, but since then has seemed to gone of the boil a bit with his passing going astray a bit and didn't impress me going forward when he played RB and has since had a couple of injuries. If he comes back then hopefully he will play in a DM role and will be like the player he was when he first came.
Josh Pritchard - 7 - Others have not been impressed with him but personally I think he is a good player. He does make mistakes and is slightly lightweight but when he is on his game he has the ability to find the passes that not many other Gills players could execute and seems confident in trying to beat a player at times. If he improves his consistency then I think he could be an excellent player for us.
Doug Loft - 7 - Compared to the hype that surrounded him when he first arrived I haven't seen much to suggest he is a quality league 1 player. At times he is a quality player and stands out but at other times he seems very lacklustre. Not sure preciously what it is but he doesn't stand out for me.
Michael Doughty (Loan) - 8 - Probably the best of Taylor's midfield signings. Confident, can pass the ball with ease and looks assured in the middle of the park.
Jermaine McGlashan - 6.5 - Occasionally he flatters to deceive. He is very good at going past a player if he can just use his pace but if the defender stands off him he just seems to run at him and expect him to move out of the way. Like the way that he can receive the ball with is back to a player and turn them very quickly and easily. His final ball is poor quite a lot of the time but is that all his fault i.e. is it his fault or the strikers fault? If he can turn in more performances like he did against Crawley in the JPT then he will give other teams more problems.
Luke Norris - 6.5/7 - At the beginning didn't cut it for me. Didn't seem to have a good link up play with the other striker he was playing with or with the rest of the team and wasn't technically that great. However he impressed me more against Leyton Orient and the fact he got two goals today suggests to me that perhaps he is growing in confidence and ability and also the goal against Sheffield United shows that somewhere under there, there is a good player with talent. If he gets the chance could become a good player.
Brennan Dickenson - 8 - Originally he annoyed me a bit. Seemed to have the ability somewhere but his touch let him down. However in the last few games (particularly the game against Orient in the JPT) he has shown a good touch, strength, pace, power and the confidence to take on a man and beat him. Growing as a player. The most improved for me.
Harry Lennon (Loan) - ?
