Firstly, let me make it clear that I am not a 'Harry hater', but SHOULD TF and Co decide to make a change of manager, they could do a lot worse than to get Eddie Howe in from Bournemouth. He is a young manager doing well and should he fail to get the Cherries into the PL this season I think we should put a cheeky bid in for him, possibly sooner if we don't make some massive improvements. Thoughts???????

Karl Robinson at MKD.........very creative young manager, heard an interview with him on 5-live a few weeks ago. spends his off days traveling to Europe to check out different training and playing systems. Would not play 4 central midfielders in the same team and a CB @ RB.....& might actually consider crossing the half way line in away games

Prob not what HR does in his spare time as well judging by the stodgy dinosaur 4 tactics we've been employing.....
 
I was just thinking after last night's game that although I am not asking for Harry to be sacked, I will be glad when he leaves and we could do a lot worse than go for Eddie Howe or Karl Robinson. Both young and with progressive ideas and an eye for a good player. With either of these two we could build a team, not just buy a team.
 
The only thing I have against Howe is that he already has a slight blip on his CV after only two jobs. He was largely a failure at Burnley before going back to Bournemouth. Perhaps he and Burnley just didn't fit but there's a worry that he might be one of these Managers who can only manage small Clubs.

He's very mild mannered and the PL and all the strong personalities in it could engulf him.
 
Karl Robinson is a myth IMO. He's been at MK Dons a long time with plenty of money for that level and never achieved anything.
 
Why would Robinson leave MK? They look good to be in the Championship next season and we could be there as well. MK have a new stadium and are on the up. We don't have a new stadium and could be on the way down, he'd be bonkers to leave them...

Howe bombed at Burnley, the jury's still out on him...
 
this thread is a total waste of time whilst TF is chairman... he has not heard of either of them and won't get starry eyed interviewing them... next manager will be another "big" name
That is the sad state of supporting the Rs these days...

A tad harsh about his time a Burnley, if I remember correctly he was the manager who signed Ings, Austin & Rodriguez for them. The main problem was some family issues about settling up North, so he put his family first and returned South.

I think he his a terrific manager and would be a good fit for us....
 
I would go Karl Robinson if we slide down but Harold has to be given the chance to sort this at last ... he has only been faking the job up to recent IMO ... I still consider us to be lucky to be in the Premier League and we have a manager who is cruising in his own world ... After the row he has applied himself onto the club a lot better IMO and so lets see where he takes us. I believe if he can get a step further and pick up away points we will be safe but we are so fragile and I still blame him totally for that. We were 12 minutes away from a good point but talk is cheap

We must beat Burnley now of course and Everton was the last time we nicked a win away in the premiership i think can we do that again? ... If we lose away then I want to lose 6-5 etc not hide behind a chess game mentality ... we aren't good enough to hold teams yet we have to stop them from playing a lot better IMO
 
I don't have a problem with Dyce, decent manager, done a good job with the resources as his disposal, doesn't talk up the opposition before each game. He will set up Burnley to attack on Saturday, I can see it being another 3 all draw....

Sorry to be a pedant - but it was Chelsea @ Christmas time with SWP in our 2nd Season

The win @ Everton was our first in the PL, in the first away game (2nd of season) of our first season in the PL, with a Tommy Smith goal. Other wins that season away from home were Wolves and Stoke, all before Christmas. There may have been one or two more but i can't remember them!

Southampton away 2-1 (Remy & Bothroyd) March 2013 was our last win away from home. Our last point in an away match was in April of that season v Reading in a 0-0 draw which relegated both teams.
