At the same point last season, United were in 8th place in the league. Obviously we're currently 4th.

At the same point last season, Liverpool were in 4th place in the league. Obviously they're currently in 11th.

At the same point in the 2010/11 season when Roy Hodgson was in charge of the Liverpool first team they were in 11th place in the league.

Well that's progress for you.

Moyes' Man Utd in this season's league would be in 2nd place, 4 points behind Chelsea, while competing in the CL

Van Gaal has no chance of the title and has crashed out of all other competitions that have started

Now you're really clutching at straws! Liverpool's points total last season would have been enough to win the league in 2010-11 but it wasn't enough to win it last season so the only trophy seen at Anfield was the one on the "Premier League Champions 2013-14" flags and shirts!

Actually I do think it's a pretty poor league this season. The fact that Chelsea are unbeaten says it all. They were gash against Sunderland.

sooooo... everyone else just got worse rather than you getting any better.

# astro and shteve say the same thing!!! SHOCKER

Liverpools points total this season would mean that they would have won the Lithuanian League in 1997 but not the Bulgarian League in 2002.

Last season Liverpool out scored the current Seria A champions by 204 goals.

Luis Suarez has been photographed more times than the entire Man Utd squad of 1927.

David Moyes currently has more points with Real Sociadad than he has accumalated with Man Utd and Everton combined.

Brendan Rodgers plans to return to Swansea City in 2020 as previously agreed in order to replce the tea lady Gladys who is due to retire at that point.

No, I thought it was a pretty poor league last season and the season before that as well. I think that the teams that have been at the top of the league for the last three seasons have been poor by previous PL standards. Chelsea aren't a great team but they're walking the league. City have great players who often look disinterested and they will finish miles ahead of third place. Do you think Southampton are a top team? Neither do I but they are rightly in third place. I don't think any of the English clubs will do particularly well in Europe. Chelsea may progress as far as the SF as Jose knows how to set his team up to kill games against better opposition but they will get trounced by Bayern or Real.

Last year was a transition year for many clubs but arsenal did well until their perennial implosion time. The year before was a bit of a joke totally as nobody wanted it.

The reality is the best judge of standard is the CL where english clubs have been getting worse for years. 5 years ago there would be 3 teams in semis or whatever and now you have frakly a last 16 at best scenario where City are just crap at the groups. LFc are not of the standard (niehter were utd) and arsneal are skerting by on co-efficient getting easier groups. Cheslea are the only club looking like they know what to do.

For me english football as a whole is 3rd best behind bayern and the spanish clubs.

Arsenal fan lolgic:

Rodgers has liverpool in midtable - He's a fraud, he's made awful signings. He's a laughing stock and liverpool need to sack him

Klopp has dortmund bottom of bundesliga - he's the ideal replacement for Wenger
