How would you like the banner fund collection handled?

  • Just as a not606 banner

  • With CTWD assistance

  • Other

Results are only viewable after voting.
As i'm unemployed and not a job looking likely in the near future, I won't be able to donate i'm afraid. I haven't voted in the poll and I won't have a say on design or placement because of that reason.

But I totally agree with the idea.

You're still more than welcome to voice an opinion.

Way over half of the forum who's voted do not want CTWD involved.

Yet, they're allowed to steam roller in again against the wishes of the forum. Despite the clear views expressed in the poll. Ignoring a poll's results eh? Imagine that.

It was a good idea until they decided (as usual) to ignore the majority's views. Not needed, not wanted, and unless there's a radical change in their leadership I want nothing to do with them, like almost 60% of people who voted in this thread.

Good luck with it, it was a good idea.

P.S. Enough with the "You're obsessed with them" bollocks. The irony in continually posting that is probably lost on you. They crave attention. They need it. I will also speak my mind when I think they're sticking their unwanted and unneeded talons into something. If you don't like me criticising them, get them to stop posting on this forum and get them to stick to their own (if its up yet). Christ knows how they plan on running a Trust if they can't manage a sodding website.

Like you, this would lose my support if it became a CTWD project. However, Obadiah's comment aside, it just looks like city fans who are CTWD members offering to help.

Nothing has been allowed as yet Happy, they're just offers of help to be accepted or declined.

One thing I have no idea about is setting up an account for people to donate to such a scheme. As you say, board users have indicated they want it to be a not606 banner, so does anyone have any suggestions on a way of gathering donations?

<laugh> Such anger before bedtime, you won't sleep Happy Tiger...

CTWD will donate £50 towards the flag, we can also sort the flag at 50% off the normal price.

That's not based on it being a CTWD flag, we're happy to just join other City fans in supporting our manager.

We should also be able to sort the donations.

Quote "Does anyone have any suggestions on a way of gathering donations". What's up ?

I'm not really sure what you're meaning here. OLM is saying CTWD can sort a donation scheme, which is a part of what Happy is unHappy about (or typically Happy depending on your view of him).

As yet, it hasn't been agreed to accept the offer. I could create a PayPal account, maybe the club have an option, or there may be another option as yet not considered.

I've just run the ideas up the "flag poll".

The flags a great idea Dutch, and OLM reckons CTWD can get a 50% reduction on the cost of it. Add to that a £50 donation from CTWD, with no CTWD references promised, why... Oh ok just whatever.

Aye, there's nothing to exclude any individual or group donating, and if an individual can get a discount, that's fine, but the payment account may possibly have CTWD on which some have voted against. It'd make life easier to use it, but that's against the spirit behind the banner.

How much are they anyway those massive banners?

No idea. Once I get the heads up from the Club and an idea what sizes they'll allow, I'll get some prices, hopefully tomorrow.

A quick squint at 20' x 12' was coming out at just under £400.

CTWD's involvement is likely to save, on Dutch's initial figures over £200, even more if the flag's bigger. They'll donate £50 and don't even want their name on the flag. As I said I have no objection to their involvement.

Just be aware that if you set up your own paypal account from scratch there will be restrictions that will likely prevent you withdrawing your money for the first two months. It's much better to use an existing fully formed account, be it CTWD's or someone else's. If you want to use a different account I might be able to assist.

Cheers Al. that's pretty much the sort of pitfall I would have fallen into if you hadn't pointed it out.

Any assistance and advice, particularly with a fund account is very much appreciated. <ok>
