No, I'm not talking about United's old manager here...

What's people's views on that copper getting off Scott-free (is it Scot or Scott?) for shooting that black kid in the US?

My view is if you're gonna attack an American Police Officer then you're asking for it, but I'm not sure that justifies so many shots, he'd have been down after one bullet surely?

Would that copper have been ripped to shreds for shooting a white guy? Where's Sol Campbell with his dossier?
 
I don't know the circumstances behind the shooting so can't give an objective opinion, although I have heard that the victim was both a robber and a thug and was well known to the police as a dangerous individual..I do however hate the gun culture that exists in the USA which makes it so much more likely for these things to happen. I haven't saw any figures relating to how many police have been shot dead by criminals in the time it has took this case to reach its conclusion..
 
I lived in the States for a while, my daughter was born over there. As much as I loved living there, America is far and away the most racist country I have ever visited. There is an under current in that society that one day (and this could be the trigger) will explode out of control. The fact that I had had coloured friends alienated me from some of the white guys I worked with, which frankly sickened me. I hear that in about 10 to 15 years the coloured population will out number the whites...then we will see something like what happened in South Africa. I see what's happening in Ferguson as a very predictable outcome of the way that society is structured.
 
Shot him 12 times..Guess he was just making sure. If the dead person had been white, it would probably had not even made the news. Maybe a video on liveleaks that's about all.

I honestly think there will come a time where all British coppers are armed.

Like RAW says, the guy's fate has come as a result of his criminal activity, he wasn't some kid on his way to church minding his own business, he was putting himself in harms way. But 12 bullets.

Flanders highlights the issues with American society, the divides and so on but surely this copper is never going to be able to justify putting more than a few bullets in the bloke.

12 rounds is never necessary surely?

In my opinion, if the victim was white and the cop was black we could be looking at s**t news that just gets swept under the carpet. As controversial as that may sound, this shooting has generated a worldwide audience because it's gathered momentum along the way.

Kids are shot in schools in America and it doesn't make this sort of shock wave in the media unless it's on a bigger scale.

I've just read Lennox Lewis' timeline on twitter and he says "So much black anger...", my first thought is that he's a thick c**t who cannot comprehend that white people are probably just as angered by this verdict as well.

The way some black people start this black vs whites s**t when something like this happens really pisses me off, like all white people are all rooting for this copper.

In Britain we'd probably be looking at a dead policeman mate, unarmed, tried to defend himself with his pepper spray but got chibbed in the stomach and the offender got 6 hours community service and an MBE.
 
Can't find any video of the actual shooting, just the aftermath. So guess we'll never know what actually happened.

I'll just delete my comment, it was in bad taste.

I guess we'll never know but you can tell a lot from the evidence we've been given. Copper said he feared a third punch would kill him, so he pulled his gun out and shot him... then the photos of the cops injuries showed nothing.

Sorry, but that's the alarmist propaganda message promulgated by white supremacists. The fact that they think they have a right to dominance economically, politically and by sheer weight of numbers is simply weird. The only indigenous race on US soil originated from *****lia, all others are recent immigrants.

The birth rates are higher in the ethnic minorities which includes Hispanics and collectively they might outnumber caucasians within the next 30-40 years

...then we will see something like what happened in South Africa.

Have you seen the footage of him robbing the convenience store and shoving the poor little shopkeeper. Scumbag.

The cop was driving along and had cause to speak to him as he was walking in the road with his friend/accomplice blocking traffic. Chavvy wannabee gangster.

He then got lippy, pushed the cop back into the car then tried to grab his gun whereby the gun went off and he was shot in the arm. The cop got out and ran after him. Michael Brown then came at the officer whereby he was shot dead. He shot him 6 times in total.

Re the 12 rounds, isnt there a protocol about emptying your clip if you have cause to use your firearm?

That sounds very much like American logic to me.

I'm not sure anybody can defend the criminal to be honest, he assaulted a police officer and that's about as bad as it gets over there.

If he's fired 12 and hit with just 6 he probably needs busted to some ****ty desk job.

Im not racist at all but this is just a classic case of jumping at the chance to play the race card. He got shot because he'd just commited a robbery, he then assaulted a cop and tried to grab his gun.

He wasn't a big gentle giant poor victim like some of the media are trying to make out.

I dont remember the black community rioting and looting when OJ Simpson got off with the brutal murder of two white people.

If that is really what happened then i'd agree. But sureky he could have shot him to disable rather than to kill. To me thought this all sounds a bit too fishy. The copper looked like he was barely slapped let alone punched

I am not stating other than than facts....America has been seen for years as a white dominated country, in 10 15 years it won't be...

In South Africa .. When apartite finished the country had had become a very violent country where one tribe are basically fighting other tribes. I see in the states Latinos and African Americans having that similar pattern. For the record, if you read my thread properly... I am not coming from this from any kind of racist view...just plain facts and my observation from living there.... Hope that's clear for you now

Sorry,mate,there's no such thing as "shoot to disable". You are taught to shoot at the largest part of the target,the central body mass,as this is where the vital organs are,in order to stop the attacker

So it's roughly three quarters white currently? In 10-15 years there's going to be a shift that sees that fall to below half?

That basically means what, non white ethnicities need to increase at an amount that causes them to catch up around 150-200 million people. Where are these 150-200 million people coming from in the next 10-15 years?

Sounds like the Daily Mail came up with that idea or someone of that ilk.
