Maybe so Siku, but we were crap all season. You bottled it, and ended up with the same as us. Sweet F.A. Remind me once more, how many times did you win the premiership (and as a clue, it doesn't count if it's on play station)

It's the same for all mid table clubs Treble. Playing United is always going to be their cup final. The dippers have had it as thier cup final for 25 years plus. How sad it must be to rely on 2 games per season, knowing you have no chance of winning it. Twice finished second, yet they bring a book out thinking that was an achievement. As quoted in "Top Gun" , the plaque for second place is hanging in the ladies room.
 
The key factor is the consequences of the match. Yes great to beat the local rivals - even 4-0 but the key matches are the ones which have the most impact.


All Brenda needed to do was sit back and the title was the RS 's <laugh>

"A game of such an impact that the Rat would have found it impossible to keep playing football if he had made that slip"
 
To this day I cannot understand Brenda s complaint post match : "they parked 2 buses" ...

So? If we needed only a draw and the opposition needed to win but refused to attack , that's great isn't it? We'll just let them waste time, pass the ball at the back etc. two RS players even pushed Maureen to get the ball back quickly in the first half. -<laugh>

That was the match they needed only one point.they got zero. The Palace match they needed 3 points they got 1...<laugh>

I was watching the match, at at 3-0 switched it off. Convinced the nightmare of the dippers winning the premiership was soon to be realised, I was probably in the worst mood possible.

Half an hour later, I was on the pc and reluctantly went on the sports news page

WOW!!!!! there it was, 3-3. YSB's with broken hearts and title race over. Moods swings from deep depression to total joy. Gradually go through all the religions from Buddha to God with prayers for divine intervention. Watched the highlights, the sewer rat in tears, and Stevieme not kissing the camera, but trying to block the images, and the dipper fans all looking shell shocked. Will treasure those images for years to come. Had a few scoops of alcohol and went to bed a very happy United fan. Absolute bliss!!!

The game was hilarious. Once palace equalised there was oly going to be one winner. That performance from the dippers has to be a total embarrassment. Stevieme reminds me of the Duracell advert, but he was powered by the type you buy at the pound store. You could see the energy draining from him minute by minute. What a wonderful end to the weekend
