Is it over yet? It's dark behind this sofa. Utd up to the dizzy heights of 4th - which at the present rate of progress could be achieved in May with around 60 points! Btw, PNP, James Wilson is a highly rated young striker. Scored a couple v Hull last season. Only 18.
Wilshire edges Gibbs for player of the game, for me. Does his usual incredibly annoying non-stop whining, bizarrely eludes a red card for a clear head butt on Sideshow Bob, then hurts himself. If ever he had a game that sums him up, this one’s it. Gibb did have a brilliant five seconds, though. KO’s his own keeper when he had to see Szssz running towards him, then a zinger of a finish.
Wilshere squaring up to Fellaini's chest was one of the more amusing moments. Giving away around 10 inches in height and four stone in weight - but that won't stop Wilshere!
Maybe that’s why he didn’t get a red. Maybe it’s not a head butt if it’s the top of your head to the bottom of the other guy’s chin.
http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...ter-United-Match-Thread?p=7319630#post7319630 I didn't mean to upset them. Honest
Arsenal fans still aren't aware that having 10% more possession than their opponents is not the same as scoring one goal more than them.
Everyone had Arsenal nailed on for top 4 at the start of the season. I called it, paper thin squad and Welbeck's a poor finisher who's been lucky more than anything with several of his goals this season. As for us, we're still worse but a nice 8 goal win today will see us above them
If Dawson scores an own goal this afternoon, how long before the conspiracy theorists suggest this had something to do with Levy's suggestions of Dawson getting a testimonial at the end of the season?
I very much doubt any suggestion for Dawson being granted a testimonial came from Daniel Levy, he doesn't agree with them.
Come on Palace !!! Ledley scores with 12 minutes remaining. 2-1 to the home side and Brendan looking well pissed off.
Wonder if rodgers wishes he hadn't kept mouthing off about how he "wasnt gonna **** up his transfer dealings like spurs did"
Liverpool scored after two minutes and then failed to manage another shot on target for the rest of the game. How is that even possible? Rodgers is under real pressure now, but this was always going to be a tough season for him, especially at the start.
"Wonder if rodgers wishes he hadn't kept mouthing off about how he "wasnt gonna f** up his transfer dealings like spurs did" He did try to strengthen the squad overall. But replacing Suarez is like Spurs trying to replace Bale. And the defensive leaks from last season have definitely not been improved. It is has only taken Sturridge out for a bit to put them in the PL doldrums.
We're not really in a position to laugh but I'm glad all the nonsense about Liverpool not doing a "Spurs" is being shown up. You can't just replace the best player in the league instantly.
I'm not sure that they even tried to, though. They could've gone out and got someone really good in his role and not broken their wage structure, but they concentrated on bolstering the squad. It's easy to say in hindsight, but that probably wasn't the way to go. Might work out in the long run, but Rodgers might not be around to see it happen.
Because their players are all so tired after the international break - especially the ones who didn't even play.
