Dortmund have been **** this season and like Utd, it's a good time to play them. But we should have won today and so I have no idea what's going to happen against Dortmund. We played okay today, but we still got punished. If we're going to beat Dortmund, then we absolutely have to score first.
So the fight for top 4 is really tight.....still think we can make it. Then wenger can ride of into the sunset, I hope!
Can't take this crap anymore, another Saturday night f----d up because of this shower of s---e feel sick to the pit of my stomach.
The league title is over no doubt, but if you look at the table, we're not that far off from top 4, and can realistically still get 3rd, I know Southampton do have space on us, but they don't have the experience and can they keep it up in the second half of the season? When you think of it like that, the depression wears off a bit, not all of it though.
Just give me FA Cup and Top 4 and we'll call it a season. Then we can assess the managerial situation
But you were playing against a **** United starting 11 and formation (LVG's fault). I believe both teams were there for the taking. That doesn't show either team in a good light. And in particular, I can't see any silver lining for your team bcos every time you come up against a decent, well organised side, you will have your midfield exposed... and a lot easier than by us. BTW Oxlade Chamberlain...respect
**** that ****, we're still in Europe aren't we? Which becomes a cup competition after the group stages, anything's possible. What's up with all you negative people today, you'd think we are supporting Burnely. WE'RE ****ING ARSENAL, IT EVEN WHEN IT RAINS ****, WE WILL FIGHT THROUGH IT.
I guess. Its just a combo of me being sick and us bottling this when we could have pumped them. Don't worry tomorrow I'll be back to saying we can win the league and we can be at each other's throats again But on a serious note, we shouldn't give up. But realistically the League is over, the CL is probably beyond us but we've seen weirder things happen so who knows, we can and should still get Top 4, and FA Cup is anyone's game. We do need to improve our composure and shape. I thought Arteta helped with that today but its when we go gung ho that's what worries me, especially on the counter. Per should have been experienced enough to know he should have stayed back with Monreal. Right now I'm tempted to just pair Monreal with Kos when the latter is fit.
If we can sign some defensive players in January, at least we give ourselves a fighting chance. The league no doubt is beyond us. We shouldn't give up, at this point we all want to, it's Wenger job now to motivate these players and earn his money, he's not entirely that useless so time to make some ****ing use of himself and get us qualified into the last 16 of Europe on Tuesday to bring some bloody positivity back to this club, we need it badly.
Yeah. A result against Dortmund and things will look better, then hopefully we don't get the killer draw for the R16. Give me a CB and DM in January and I'll be so happy.
Are we as football fans masochistic? You got to wonder why we put ourselves through this pain, and mighty depression, and continue to go through with it.
We're getting Real Madrid, I'm calling it now. I'd take a new GK too, if we can get Chech, I would have him in an instant, the first goal today was partially shezny's fault as well.
I'm finding it hard to understand why our season still hasn't kick started yet. It's not just us but every single top team barring Chelsea appear to be walking through a tar pit. We are too good to be languishing so low down in the league. Not putting this Man U team away just continues our non-existing season.
Because moments like this make the pain worth it: please log in to view this image I know we're in poor form but we do have a good basis and IMO a top DM and backup CB and we'll have a title-contending team. That's really the most frustrating part. Our team is good enough to be up there with Chelsea but we've been vastly under-performing. And that is down to both the players and the manager. Just hope that when Wenger does bow out he's not treated with vitriol and hate. He's still an Arsenal legend no matter what and IMO he'll leave a good basis for a new manager to build on.
Completely agree, we only draw finalists from the previous years competition. Barca twice at there peak and bayern twice at there peak. Madrid are at the pinnacle of European football so it's a guarantee we get them this year in the last 16.
Arsenal are a confidence team. Get a couple of wins under our belts and we turn into an almost unstoppable force, until the next defeat and then we turn to utter **** and can't seem to lift ourselves. I thought we played okay today, but the lack of finishing and chasing the game left us open to the sucker punch. It's happened too many times before to be an accident.
I blame Gibbs more for the goal. Fellaini backed off because he saw Chez coming surely Gibbs should have too or at least heard the shout. Martinez has been decent so far so I trust him to deputize. Huddart on the bench vs. Dortmund Really tbh today I felt like we actually got our tactics right. Just the players couldn't step up. That's been an issue plauging us so far this season and if he hasn't tried already Wenger needs to massively sort that out.
