    funny thing. i actually ran into the lass i was talking about in boots yesterday (contact lenses)
    she was with her boyfriend, he looked a lot older than her

    Sword, you should try the electronic cig. I've got one, and I gave up proper cigs easily. I'm still getting a realistic nicotine hit, but with out any of the nasty bits you get with proper smoking (the smell, going outside for a smoke, bad-breath, ****ed lungs, the cost etc). It's class mate <ok>

    Joker had something when he said you have really want to stop or you won't succeed.

    I gave up 3 and a half years ago, still smoke weed every night and do not mix it with anything and I agree with jordon that the taste and flavour of weed is far better than tobacco anyway. Parsley is my choice of mix when I was living in a place where only hash was available, it would work with skunk too (mind you, herbal substitutes weren't available too). Sound's weird, but it's very smooth and cool -just buy normal supermarket parsley and dry it thoroughly.

    It's a hard thing to give up and I'm not convinced I've given up all together as I still smoke! And when I go out I scrounge ***s from friends who I know do not mind, but I don't go out that much (2 young kids keep me permanently knackered) and don't smoke ciggies at home ever and do not miss them. I'd love to say I will never go back to smoking cigarettes but I'm nowhere near so naiive, even though my wife would castrate me if I did.

    What helped: will power more than anything else, plus gum for those 'moments', normal gum too helps with the sugar rush and aim for 3 weeks. Statistically, it has been proven that if you can get to 3 weeks you will succeed. The real ****er with tobacco is many people go back having thoroughly kicked the habit for 2 years plus.

    This quitting thing is a piece of piss so far anyway <ok> 12 hrs off them and only one bad pang after the grub this morning
