I'm with theevilreddevil with that sentiment and I'm a Chelsea fan. If you want a relaxing time watching Chelsea cruise unopposed to the title at least do it watching the DVD next winter. Until then I'll enjoy the highs and the relief recovering from the lows. Anything worth having is hard fought for.

With regard to what BITKOSB is saying, I've always said the same. Chelsea were for the most part of our history a nearly club, won nothing, fancy dans playing good football but failing to deliver. There was even a music hall song "When Chelsea win the Cup" where all the verses list all the improbable things that would happen first before they would. 50 years of winning bugger all then another 20 before the next couple and over 20 years after that (discounting our glorious form in the ZDS cup). A band of plucky losers or partying flash buggers all style no cups, either applied. This legacy forms the basis of our distrust of continued success, that and the fact we derided other supporters of teams for supporting those teams purely because they had success and we didn't for so very very long.

I think it will take quite a few more games yet before I am convinced we can definitely win it, and even then, it ain't over till it's over.
This team does not yet have the feel of Mourinho's first tenure, when we were almost impossible to beat.
I don't think that team was quite as boring as the knockers would make out, but this team now is definitely more open, more susceptible to conceding goals.

No title is won after 11 games. I thought you'd know that better than most given leads you've blown and teams you've caught over the years....

It's an 8 point lead as well, and that's disregarding Southampton.

Oh we finally got a mention. Disregard Saints at your peril. We are highly unlikely to finish in the top 2 but we can't be written off at this stage. We are getting wins at places where Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool are dropping points (West Ham and Swansea). Our defence is better than anyone else's at this stage. We are a nightmare to play if we go 1 up - we have yet to drop a point after being in a winning position. I'm really looking forward to playing Man City, United and Chelsea at home.

Easy to forget though that after that loss to City in Jose's first year we were 5 points behind the 'invincibles' around November time; so were in a much worse position than we find ourselves in now - mainly due to the inconsistency of others. United bless em then went and beat Arsenal at OT and we went the rest of the season unbeaten.

This year's start is more akin to the 2nd title winning season when we won the first 9 games and Robben was ripping it up.

We've had a few seasons where I thought we would win it and it fell apart, including at times last year, Jose's third year after we got Ballack and Sheva etc. Long long way to go and I'll be really judging it once we are into the new year. Xmas can make or break a title challenge.

Good shout, huge respect for Southampton and the way Koeman has turned things round. To think everyone was taking the p*ss at the start of the season after losing so many players - no one is laughing now.
Southampton do, however, have the luxury of not having any expectation placed upon them. If you are still in this position after the New Year, things will get cranked up a bit. Can you handle it? Time will tell.
Good luck though, I'd be happy to see Saints stay second all season (behind us of course!)

If we go unbeaten and win the league Jose might nab it but Koeman taking Southampton to 2nd would be one of the greatest achievements in P.L history I imagine. He's be fully deserving in that case. However 27 games still left!

Whatever your manager is doing is great, but it's the players scoring and stopping the goals. Don't know what your squad strength is, or the class of your replacements, but there's no reason other than the heavy pitch injuries and tiredness that comes in Dec/ Jan / Feb, to suggest you won't even get better ! Great effort from the entire Club after your player losses. best of luck for top 4 spot.
