Im glad to see Rooney doing well for England recently, gets way too much abuse for 'underperforming at tournaments'.

England look a lot better with Clyne Shaw Milner Wilshere etc More mobile, theres been barely any passing round the back like we normally see

I have never got the abuse that Rooney gets. You can never doubt his desire to play for his country and his tendency to roam must surely be due in part to the poor support he gets. Improve the team in general and we will get the best out of Rooney.

Said earlier on Sky how good at defence Clyne is...remarked that that might sound daft when talking about a RB, but many don't defend well in the modern game.

You have to remember that Clyne spent a fair amount of time injured last season and then Pochettino was selecting Chambers ahead of him until March/April.
