What if the clubs are of equal level and style and offer the same challenges?

Like us and Arsenal for example. Both clubs offered a very similar package so career progression would apply equally to both clubs.

Take out those 3 freaks and the rest of them go where they get paid more.

We don't know why Sachez chose to go to Arsenal anyway

Well Johnson is on his way out, which just leaves Manquillo (and Flanagan). Montoya is quality though, he's always my first signing on FIFA!

missus is a swinger... whatever.... he is said to have gone for a very specific reason.

top top players dedicate themselves heart and soul to the game. they can be untalented but get to the top OR they can be like whilshire and rooney and you'd wonder how the f they waste their talent. we know both like to have a cigge behind the bike shed.

you have a 5 year deal... if you are a player who's dedicated himself to being the best he can be then its quite simple isn't it.. they will choose the best club with best chance of propelling them forward. none of us would sign a 5 year deal just anywhere when its half our best years. there is a reason why chelsea are so attractive and its not just money or big stadium etc etc.

TO me arsnela and LFc are not on the same level as LFC don't pay as much and don;t offer as much.

i thought the plan for him was to play CB? although you are right in technically he is seen as a RB.

  7. Not really the point I was making. The capital wouldn't attract me at all, but having said that I wouldn't like living in any city TBH and there aren't too many top football clubs that aren't in a City.

One club is stable and is consistently in the CL, and have a big name manager.

    The other is LFC.

As good as we performed last season, I'm pretty confident that location alone was not the motivating factor for Sanchez.

Montoya - not what we need but would definitely still have. A very solid defender, versatile, can play on both flanks.

I wonder which position he will end up in,cos' he has plenty of experience in both.I guess he's played more RB than CB in recent seasons.

I do like the look of Wisdom though, very powerful athlete

Manquillo is ofcoure only on loan, but with an option to buy. Looks like real quality.
I am a big fan of Flanagan but he's injured and Rodgers prefers an attacking full back.
I see Wisdom as a CB in the long run and just a utility FB to cover for injuries.

I guess it depends on whether Manquillo wants to stick around.

It would be awful to miss out on Montoya and then have Manquillo decide to stay in Spain. But having Montoya is unnecessary IMO if we ave Manquillo and Flanagan available.

I reckon this is Enrique's last season with us so if any of them want to be second choice/other LB option then lets get Montoya in.

Montoya, Manquillo, Moreno would give us great potential in the full back positions, with Flanno has an able back up.

I would love to see Wisdom as RCB but he will be fighting it out with Iloro for that position, and I think Ilori has more potential.

I know things look pretty down at the moment, but we have some extremely talented youngsters at this club.

I think Flanagan is more than good enough to be seen as more than back up.

Ilori and Wisdom could provide solid strength and depth at RCB.

Both could be solid paired with Sakho.

Of course location matters. If you were coming from abroad would you want to go to a club based in London or the south where it's generally a nicer area to live than say Sheffield or Birmingham for example.

Not just saying it because I'm from the south but footballers come over with kids and families and they would like to live somewhere nice. At the end of the day, don't they do this footvall stuff as a job to earn money.. Money so they can afford to live in a nice house in a nice area?

I know you can get nice places in areas I mentioned but coming from abroad I'd think it would have a big effect on some players.
