In light of the recent info about his less than happy position at the club, should he go or should he stay?

Obviously an Ole signing much better than most others who has huge potential, but doesn't seem to figure in Slade's immediate plans. Maybe the perception that he's not hard enough at the moment for this tough Championship division is correct.

If he isn't a "now" player, can we afford (or not) to keep him on board as "one for the future"?

I would loan him out for the rest of the season, and see where we are then. No point in selling in January as we would probably get a rock bottom price, but i think both he and Kimbo's days are numbered. It wouldnt surprise me to see Kiss come back into the fold though.

I think Ole was the only reason he came here. If he's not happy get rid. No point having another Zaha on the books who's heart isn't in it. I would prefer to see an enforcer brought in to be honest, we already have our fair share of drama queens and lightweights in the middle of the park.

Very skillful player but a lightweight and not quick enough. I would loan out as suggested by Isaw.

Kiss coming back, though? Not sure about that. No great at Championship last time.

Daehli is not the only one of the squad who is not hard enough judging on recent results.

We will probably get bullied out of the game tomorrow, just like all our away games.

When are this lot going to stand up for themselves?

Don't sell him. Loan him if necessary but IMO it is madness he is not part of this team. He is best played as we all know in the hole, feeding Jones or Macheda. I'd prefer him to be playing instead of le Fondre so it would be 4-4-1-1.

City erred by selling Gestade rather than keeping him on the books. Big big error.

Daehli is a jewel, he cannot be let go.

Totally agree with that with knobs on. We did all the hard work with extra sprint training etc to get him fit to play and then sell him on at a knock down price. <doh>

Hudson should have stayed as well. We gave away our captain with no vocal presence at the back until Turner played on Saturday.

For me the jury is out on Daehli. Great skill but not tough enough and lacks pace.

Maybe an odd thing to look at, but.............

Question: - When are we going to get a penalty?

Answer: - When we play Daehli and get him in the box.

Lightweight he certainly is, but he's got quick feet around and in the box that compensates for his lack of pace over the ground. I bet he could draw some pretty desperate lunging challenges from these Championship defenders.

Maybe a bit of straw clutching there, but I'd take half a dozen converted penalties from Whitts to offset the crap in front of goal we're seeing at the moment.

Daehli can't be fit - he's playing again for Norway tonight.

They must have got a real magic sponge. <doh>

Something not quite right here Spark. Is Daehli being left out at Cardiff because of the Chairman's dispute with Ole?

I seriously doubt it. Sounded like Ole left on fair enough terms. Daehli hasn't been that impressive this season considering how good he was in the Prem.

    Sheep!
Have to agree with you about Daehli. I think he's one of several soft centres in our midfield and only shone in the Prem because he got more time on the ball. However I do wonder why he's allegedly injured according to our club yet plays for his nation. Can you honestly understand why the lad can't even make the bench, yet plays well for Norway?

Nothing to do with Tan or Ole, this is all about Slade's vision of the team to put out there. Daehli just doesn't fit Slade's profile of a player to get stuck in and battle in the Championship.

He is soft and very lightweight and has struggled on the very rare occasions he's been tried, but he provides an option for a plan B when needed. Leaving out in the cold and claiming some sort of physical problem as a reason for it is bizarre when he can play for his country twice within a week.

I said on another thread that him and Ravel are probably seen as luxury players by Slade. That could be a big mistake, because when they're gone, they're bloody gone, and those options are no longer available to change things.
