nbc soccer NBC Sees Net Gains in QPR Man City and DC United RBNY TV Viewing Audience Numbers
The TV viewing figures are in for last Saturdayâs double-header of soccer that was televised on the free-to-air NBC network.
The 12:30-2:30pm ET game between Queens Park Rangers and Manchester City was watched by an average of 908,000 people.
Meanwhile, the 2:30-4:30pm ET broadcast of the MLS playoff between DC United and New York Red Bulls netted an average of 607,000 viewers which, by MLS standards, is a considerable-sized audience.
Compared to NBCâs fourth-quarter average viewing audience for Premier League matches, the QPR-Manchester City 2-2 draw saw a 31% increase in audience size.
Saturdayâs MLS playoff match saw a 9% increase from NBCâs 2013 MLS Playoff average.
