Get Benitez back. Fans would be happy because they seemed to love him and Liverpool can get back to that defensive side to side passing then counter attack stuff.

I see that mata is on his way out at utd

    One expensive loss coming

    Falcao is also crocked

    Hmmmmmm

We did all say mata is too slow so it's interesting to see him move from pillar to post isn't it

In fairness to Chelsea Oscar prob is the better player cos he dies the extra work mourinho demand and hazard and Willian are lightening. Great sale that

Wonder what utd will do next then? Back janusaj or buy?

If he sells Mata I will be seriously fcked off. Mata unlike any of our midfielders since Scholes in his pomp, actually scores goals (9 in 24 prem games) and creates goals. Mourinho has his own ideas about football and it's just one way of playing the game. But United don't fit his mould and having watched Mata at Valencia he should be a part of everything United right now. One of the first names on the team sheet.

EDIT: can you believe if we sold Mata and kept Fellaini. Fcking hell.

Moyes is back managing isn't he, expect a move for Fellaini and Januzaj - even if it's a loan move!

i have already done that joke <steam> <laugh>

i would keep Mata myself, always wanted him long before he came to prem.

makes you wonder about the manager thing though, as i think he would have played under Rafa ie Spanish connection but club fecked that up, but Brendan i am not sure if he could persuade him or not.

  11. Mata is one of the best AM in the league IMO. He should be playing but you guys would rather get Di Maria, RvP and Rooney in the side.

    <laugh> great minds eh ...

I have always liked Mata, why weren't we in for him when he went to utd? Maybe he's off to Spain as well

    well look.

mata doesn't track back well and he hasn't the pace to play in a tight game if utd want to have just 3/4 up and the rest conservative.

a player like diamaria is what van gaal wants, real pace. he wants two holding midfielders and to accomodate rooney probably as AM really. tracking back all over the place when he is actually bothered.

erog that leaves three slots and dimaira is one, RvP is the other and mata hasn't the pace to play the third.

    Simple really.

also if mata spits the dummy for ebing on the bench it shows something about attitude unfortunately.

If you want to play a 4-2-3-1 or something and don't have a rooney then yeah mata as no 10 makes perfect sense.

We are thinking alike today - I was just about to post the same reply.

I admire a player who has a lot to offer and doesn't like being on the bench. The reverse of that is Reina, a player I also admire and wish we still had but to make the move he did was senseless.

the fact he's jumped out of cheslea and then utd as well shows he's not going to be there for the inevitable adversity when it comes.

when you need your lads to stand up and be counted.

maybe this is why van gaal has janusaj in not mata when the chips are down and their team is lower in league than they'd like.

mans only at utd less than 12 months he's got to dig in.

RVP, Di Maria, Rooney = shirt sales, merchandising $, more sponsorship
Mata is no value in terms of real $ to Utd other than his actual value.

He was thrown out of Chelsea as surplus to requirements. If he has ambition then that surely means regular first team, if he can't get that at utd who are struggling, then he could see this as his career spiralling down. He therefore needs to arrest it before his name is forgotten.

wellllllll.... there is a small case for that but I think its more like Rvp is a striker so hes a role. dimaria is the bigger buy but fits the model and sells the shifts. rooney fits the model too. he will be am in a 3 IMO. two DMs behind rooney. So mata is a reserve. He's not a right sided fast winger is he? hes a sub for rooney or janusaj right now.

if it were all just shirt sales gerrard would not be our target to be dropped on his forum.
