Great to sing 'Charlie Austins magic'. If he can become half the player that Gallen was (and he is well on the way to that!), he will be a QPR legend. I also agree that his feet are firmly on the ground emotionally / psychologically. Long may that continue.

This is well worth a listen. As Finney says on there, how many fans of a premier league club can ring up their star striker and have a chat with him.

AAAGH is a top lad but how he can still say he don't think he can cut it at PL level is a mystery. I can see the Chazzmatazz putting away 15 goals a season for the rest of his career if he largely stays injury free.

This!

As our team really starts to click together which is becoming very apparent now, he will bang them in with the service needed from the rest of our squad. Let's hope he can have a full season without too many knocks.

I wish they had asked him some more interesting questions..
like whether Les Ferdinand has been working with him?
is he trying to get his shots off earlier without taking a touch?
has he changed his training regime to become stronger and quicker?
its nice to have a 'love in' but it can be a bit banal..

I agree, Austin's recent performances have been a real step up and it would be interesting to know what he attributes this to.

I was among those who had doubts about whether he could cut it in the Premier, but those doubts are fast being dispelled.

His progress reminds me of Sir Les when he suddenly blossomed into a player who could terrorise Premier defences.

Perhaps something to do with having come from Non-League?
