I agree with this but that doesn't apply to a Mafia member of course Biscan isn't stupid (), he will know he can't say he's been leaned on and he will know his comments have made it pretty clear. I guess if he is innocent than its a judgement call for Astro.

for the mafia to carry this off they'd need another couple of votes on sky. ANYONE voting sky from here on in will be seen as highly suspicious by most of us as we know on day 1 sky is a known innocent.

therefore we should be seeing 3/4 votes on each suspect we put up for lynch so that this one IBWT vote for sky cannot be easily used to turn sky into the lynchee.

ie...

lets get a tie of 3 guys going with 4 votes each and then if anyone votes for sky late they get switched too and offed.

I'd also humbly submit that IBWt should do the honorable thing if sky is at risk and change said vote and die.

 

No point in investigating Biscan now. If he's telling the truth then he's going to die at nightfall anyway. If he's lying then it doesn't matter that he's claiming to be forced as his own group won't kill him, therefore must be Mafia.

There doesn't seem to be any rule saying whether he can or cannot say he has been leaned on. Tho' I think there really should.

In fact I think the following do need to be clarified asap so we actually know what we're doing(ish)!

1. Can someone say they have been leaned on to vote one way by the heavy?
2. How many assassinations can the Mafia assassin make?
3. How many people can the Mafia recruit?
4. Can the Mafia recruit more than their original four members?

I'm guessing some of this may come under the twists astro mentioned in the OP, but it would still be good if he could answer, even if it's to say that the answers won't be revealed until later!

 

I guess I must of read it in the previous thread.

 

I think the spirit of the game astro created was outlined in the pregame sign up... namely if you were leaned on by a Mafioso you've be too scared to tell everyone cos you'd be dead. however we don't know so we shouldn't get hung up on that.

I agree with clarification.

however:

the rule says that as long as ibwt doesn't change his vote he lives. therefore this boils down to do you believe its a ploy or the truth. if you believe one or the other then vote whatever way you like. I'm undecided.

on the other rules i think astro doesn't want us to know and we have to keep guessing which i think will be fun later in rounds as you just won't know and can you take a risk. the only way to end mafia kills is to get the assasin.. for example.. i like the concept.

Really shouldn't all townies just wait late to vote (if possible). We have to protect Sky so anyone voting for him we all have to change our votes to them surely Simple that....For now I will vote IBWT but anyone voting later on for Sky I will change my vote to them before 8pm

I agree we shouldn't get too hung up on it, but I think it would be good to clarify this point. If people can reveal when they've been forced to vote by the heavy then that could make it quite easy to work out the Mafia strategy, particularly if someone is forced to vote in a decisive vote.

I would tend to agree with you and Greez that if someone is forced to vote by the heavy they cannot say, or imply, that they have been told how to vote, as part of the deal should be that they are too scared to do so.

Ok, sounds good to me. Makes it harder to plan for freemasons etc, as they won't know in advance what capabilities the Mafia still have, so can't reveal themselves without some fear of reprisals

But would still like a ruling on whether the person leant on by the heavy can say they have been forced to vote without fear of being killed.

I checked and checked again and no where does it say I can't admit to being leaned on so don't think that would automatically kill me?

Also I'll happily change my vote and take one for the team of aly is close to being up for lynching in order to take one for the team

 

it depends.... I still say having 3/4 people at risk is the best way. If we get more up with gerrez whomever that may be it might help. then people can still switch late. I am with you though.. i'll change my vote to anyone else voting for sky.......... unless.... they claim to be also influenced by the mafia in which case i would want a 2 way tie between them and ibwt.

 

I asked if I could reveal id be leant on and got no answer and it says no where o can't so I wanted to make it quite clear as the plan obviously worked initially.

A few of you, billy Gerrez mito in particular had me down as Mafia right away because of it. Was only that swarbs pointed out the heavy role that you remembered I might have been told to vote that way.

Mafia is obviously smart enough to realise it would cast doubt on people's
Minds which is what is has done now
