for f*cks sake luke calm down, leonardo isnt wumming here, watford fans are in general just annoyed with the manner that their former manager has left them and has taken a player and backrrom staff with him.

yes there are a quite a few idiots on the watford board, like any but at the same time it doesnt matter who MM is managing, they would want him to screw up whoever he happened to be managing, welsh team or not.

its no guarantee that MM will bring success here, he's been managing for less than 2 years so theres no need to have such a cocky attitude mate.

Thanks swamp - you are correct I really was not wumming. It is MM not Cardiff that is our problem - we will get over it fairly quickly. I posted here before he left (and funnily enough Luke did too) that MM does not have a good record. His win percentage is only 33% Now in a decent club with some money to spend he may show he actually IS a good manager - all you will find Watford fans saying is that given our financial troubles and being favourites for relegation he seemed to over achieve for us despite only finishing 14th and 16th.

I am just surprised your owners have chosen to gamble on a potentially good manager rather than one who has a proven track record.

I think MM was chosen because of the worklike ethos he brings to Cardiff City, after the problems DJ had at the back end of the season a hard task master was needed.

I happen to like Cardiff - and sorry about this - and Swansea - my wife and I have retired to Wales and it is the friendliest and most pleasant place we have ever lived so I feel very well disposed to all things Welsh. However I dont like MM for how he left us and would like to see you struggle under him, sack him before Christmas (as happened to Rodgers when he too left us badly for Reading) but then get yourselves a manager who is really a winner and not just a hyped up journeyman. I actually think Boothroyd would have done better for you than MM - although the style of football would have been awful

Time as they say will tell

to be fair, if that was true of every club in this country looking for a manager, then every club would have either a foreigner, or an old dinosaur of an english manager because there's no need to take a gamble on an unproven manager.

i for one am pleased the board have the balls to go against the grain a bit and get in a manager who could prove to be a far better choice than other contenders like hughton, who in fact had been a manager for even less than MM.

Fair play - might take a year or two to assemble the squad but if you had lost faith in Dave Jones then any change is a gamble of sorts.

(You are not very popular on our board at the moment swamp - I think some there are clutching at straws :) )
