I think what's lacking is the defensive quality in the league. I think in terms of football style and attacking play there's depth in quality. But defensively, you look right down the division and it's a shadow of the standard we're used to in the prem.
The best defender is kompany. In my opinion hes some way below previous levels. Its not just confined to the premier league though. Worldwide there is a lack of quality defenders. Look at the world cup.
