I watch quite abit of LaLiga and your assessment of sanchez being a one season wonder is a wrong one he consistently scored goals from the wing in a team that is set up to play for one players strenghts (messi)I think he got over 20 goals last season wich is impressive for a player on the wing also he had a very good world cup in my opinion and despite him lacking height he is physically very strong so I can't see how he wouldn't be able to handle the physical aspect of the league

    not sure if serious

He played great for Barca (they let him go as they knew Suarez was coming, and he's no Suarez!), and has been ectrememly good for Chile. Yeah he's in great form at the moment, but that's nothing knew - he's been on this type of form countless times, whoever he's played for <ok>

I may very well be wrong but I completely disagree that he played great for Barca or that his 20 goals is necessarily impressive. Watching him, he often broke down Barca's attacks, picked the wrong pass or just simply ran into cul-de-sacs instead of playing the simple pass. The goals he scored (except the 1 iirc remember against Madrid) were in the league against some pretty average teams, often being one of 10 being scored by Barcelona as a whole. I mean 5 of those 20 were against relegation fodder like Elche and Vallaidollid.

As I said, I may be wrong but from his actual performances on the pitch he never seemed to gel at Barca, and there were times you could see he was frustrating the players around him, including Messi. I'll be interested to see how he carries on throughout this season but particularly in his 2nd season at Arsenal.

The funny thing is you could see something similar witg suarez. He doesnt seem to fit. Messi didnt look too happy either.

Seriously how **** is Joe Hart. It's offensive when he and De Gea are mentioned in the same breath.

Just give Chelsea the title now.

The betting on the PL title race must be dead just about now. You'd get better action betting on which bookie will be the first to pay out on Chelsea winning the title, and how long before the end of the season they will do so.

Told ya Saints were as strong a bet as any of City, Utd and Arsenal for the three remaining CL spots. They're the only side currently coming close to Chelsea for consistently getting results

Rests majority of 1st 11 at Madrid despite only losing 1 0 and loses to a team who played pretty much best 11 twice in a week

He basically had a hissy fit after the result against Newcastle when picking the team against Madrid. He then tried to mask his irrational meltdown by pretending he was trying to give his squad players a chance to prove themselves.

But the best bit is in some alternative reality only Rodgers resides in, he actually believed that by dropping his best players against the best team in the world at the Bernabeu, it would actually make them hungry for the game against Chelsea (insert cross-eyed wiggly mouth smiley here). The most you do is simply piss them off. Understanding what motivates a professional footballer clearly not his strong point.

Wonder how long the oil sheik will tolerate City's poor form. Mancini got the bullet for finishing second, so how long will Pelligrini last if City continue with bad results?

They gave her a shout out on Match of the Day and said her name.
Plus they confirmed she is fine, and she got a call from Yaya Toure personally apologising and a signed City shirt. All in all, not a bad day for her really.

He may be a whiny bitch but thats pretty decent of him to call her and personally apologise. Kudos to Yaya!

Cool move from Yaya. Nice to see him make the effort, a lot of players would have ignored it.

Aye, good lad. I remember Rio doing the same thing to a fan a few years back, although his was a kick in frustration after a late whistle from the ref. He apologised and gave her his signed shirt at the end of the match which was nice to see.

The ones who really need a long look in the mirror are the two blokes on either side of her. I'd assume at least one of them is a friend / relative, but they both lean away and put their hands over their own faces. Had that been my daughter I'd have been like Clint Eastwood in In The Line Of Fire! Pussies.

And is it wrong that I'm quite amused how her hands pop up in the air afterwards. Like one of those amusement arcade games where you have to knock the puppets down <laugh>

Frickin West Brom and Leicester. Hate these teams raising their game against us and then flopping against the rest :(

Looks like we're staying 6th <diva> as Spurs and Everton fail to win.

But along with Newcastle still manage to push Livpl down to bottom half of the table <whistle>
