Hello all .. fascinating debate on Breakfast thread, thought it best to give it life on its own thread, and we can then effectively review as things progress .. here goes

Cellino is slowly strangling Leeds United, and if we're not careful we will be back in Lge One long before the Prem .. Cellino's behaviour is far too erratic to ever give the club stability, and it's a big worry .. we don't need a megalomaniac nutter running our club, an over-emotional fool who interferes non stop and who is of the "my way or the highway" mentality .. this guy has no concept of teamwork, no idea what building for the future means

Cagliari - a nondescript club in Italy where the only expectation was survival in Serie A .. Cellino never built for the future there, all he did was replace managers at the drop of a hat and sell his best talent for a profit .. he also alienated supporters and did not tolerate any criticism .. now, at Cagliari playing Football Manager may be ok, as long as the money is there and the club is in Serie A .. it was a given that Cagliari would sell their best talent each season, and teams didn't exactly see them as a major scalp .. Cellino's eccentric behaviour was by and large ignored in Italy because he had no impact on Serie A

Leeds United .. a massive club in England, albeit not a top club right now .. phenomenal support on the road, lots of expectation as the "sleeping giant" and a big prize for every team that faces them .. the pressure is so much greater at Elland Road, and if players can't understand that every game is a Cup Final and therefore consistently raise their standard of play and effort, well, then we end up with the kind of season we are currently experiencing .. the Championship is an unforgiving league, much more challenging than the bottom half of Serie A and way more demanding than Serie B, and therefore Cellino's "Chosen One" approach is simply no good .. constant media attention, interfering with selection and tactics, hiring and firing managers for fun and claiming its for the best, none of this actually contributes positively to building a strong football club .. bottom line is Cellino is responsible for hiring the managers, and his appointment of Hockaday was nothing short of a disgrace .. I said at the time that we would pay for that calamity for a while, even if Hock didn't last long .. Cellino needed to put a proper manager in charge in the summer, have the squad settled and then push on .. so far its been nothing but chaos, no stability and players misfiring like rusty old sparkplugs ..

it can't be easy for players when the President influences the teamsheet and decides who plays where .. I can only imagine the uncertainty after every game, players asking themselves "did I do enough to keep Cellino happy", "will Cellino still like my face tomorrow", "is he going to buy another striker because I missed that header" .. these are the things behind the scenes that Cellino influences, his attitude and behaviour can cause problems among the players .. it is proven at all levels, players respond to a strong manager who they respect, a manager who understands every single personality in the dressing room and who is able to get the best out of each one within an effective formation

Cellino, if he continues with this lunacy, will hurt us .. no use trying to deflect blame to GFH, he signed the contract guaranteeing them 25% and agreeing to the terms, so if they are relucant to alter the agreement then tough .. Cellino's tactics are not great, trying to create public pressure to help him do one on GFH, and so far it's not working, and his now clearly stupid promise of buying back ER by November is jumping all over his reputation .. the biggest problem is the FL and the guilty verdict, with the prospect of a second conviction on the horizon .. Cellino is sweating right now, he is facing losing ownership of Leeds, the Championship is biting hard, and his usual whirlwind approach isn't workng, but due to his nature there is no Plan B

Cellino out? It may well be an irrelevant discussion with the way things are going both on and off the pitch

Well it didn't take long for the Cellino out to start, getting a bit like ground hog day on here. He was a saviour to some when he first took over.
I'm neither for or against him at the moment, but I did say that I wasn't keen on the players that he was bringing in.
I will say though Billy that you have put forward your argument and your side of things very well...<ok>

Not sure I am a usual suspect regarding owners, and yes Cellino was the only option last year, but that was then and this is now. Lose on Saturday and the tide will turn and then as mighty reminds us the fun really starts.

hey Shaks my bruv .. I'm not actually saying Cellino out, just beware .. like you I am undecided right now, and this after I was right behind him .. its not the results that worry me, its the silliness .. seriously, hiring Hockaday? Fcuking joke!! Sacking Milanic after just 32 days? Lunacy!! Cellino is out of control right now, and he needs to fcuk of to Miami for three months and be invisible, let Redders get on with it and then let's see where we are come end of January

Howya Billy, I agree with you regarding Cellino and his strange antics, it pisses me off as well, but before it was Bates out, we got our wish, then it was GHF and they were clueless about running a football club and seemingly had no money and we've nearly got rid of them. Who is out there to bring this club forward. You and I know that Cellino won't change his ways, so unless the twats down at FL headquarters get their way and get him ****ed out, we are stuck with him.

Unusually I agree with most of what you are saying Billy.

I was one of those calling for Cellino to take over, the only reason being I could see no alternative and I still can't at the moment.

If he hadn't come in when he did we would have gone bust I have no doubt about that.

I have seen enough of the man to know we are going nowhere with him in charge, I guess we just have to sit tight and wait for him to get bored or receive an offer he cannot refuse.

You know what lads, I don't give a flying **** anymore. Seems like these discussions have been rattling on for a decade while we supported a non existent football team. I certainly ain't spending another decade at the same ****e. I'll concentrate on my local hurling team I think. Hassle free enjoyment and playing ina. Leinster semi final next weekend. I hate politics and supporting Leeds has become far too close for comfort

No different than your reasons to be positive thread mate <ok>

Those of us who are not happy with the way things are going are still Leeds supporters, we are not gloating and pleased things are not going well, or that we see it differently to others. In the last 12 years there hasn't been too much to shout about and be positive about for Leeds fans but come Saturday we all still hope for a win <ok>

When did you last drink at Dublin Airport. It's dearer there than in billys.
Tip. Stand near OLOF and get ready for the beer to fly.
