It´s goals that win games carrabuh, not pretty football, doesn´t matter how you make ´em.

Its goals that win games, not ugly football.

It may not matter to you, I think it does to most.

Its like writing a bad novel and being happy because somebody bought it.

It doesn´t matter to me in the slightest how we score ´em, and if I had written a bad novel I´d be delighted if someone bought it.

..and talking of nonsense - ugly football can win you games, quite easily, may not win you supporters but it can certainly win you games.

I'm with RBF on this, if Pulis took over tomorrow and propelled us to 100+ points and a +60 goal difference, I'm really not going to care if every other goal is route one from the goalkeeper. Beautiful football is nice, but I'd much rather be walking away from Carrow Road smiling about our latest 5-0 demolition job than consoling myself that we played some nice one-touch stuff in the middle of the park, despite getting battered by a similar scoreline.

This season is crucial if we want to establish ourselves as a Premier League side any time soon, so for me effectiveness is the most important factor in the way we play. It's not like we're playing attractive football now is it?

When we're a well-established Premier League side playing to a 35,000 capacity Carrow Road, then I'll start to question whether the ball should be spending more time on the deck. Plummeting down the divisions whilst playing pretty football does nothing for me.

Daryl Murphy<laugh>

6'3 and 31, perfect fit, all he needs is long floppy ears a straw hat and he can be retired to Yarmouth beach.

Thats not what Royal said, he said he didn't care how it went in, it makes no difference if it is a great goal or a lucky scuff.
