No! Apparently he is clever!

Garry Monk: "It was a cheap yellow which Jonjo Shelvey gave away for the first booking. I explained it to him but he is a clever lad and understands that when you are on a yellow you can't make those kind of challenges."

But apparently not clever enough! Or he just forgot. Or he fooled Monk into thinking he his clever .... but not so much really, which doesn't say much about Monk. Or Monk is taking up Blarney.

Shelvey was upset with the ref at turning down the penalty appeal for what was a blatant dive and hand ball to deflect his goalbound shot.Agree he needs to better control his emotions and he will learn from this.
Despite the homer referee giving countless free kicks for Everton's simulated dives at every contact, and four bookings and a sending off against us,we managed to keep out Everton with some excellent defending to share the points.
No traffic jams for a change, giving us plenty of time beforehand to discover the delights of Goodison Park's nearby watering holes, especially the £1.90 a pint at Wetherspoon's Thomas Frost!

I had a nice pint and lunch at The Thomas Frost as well. Only one complaint, god the music was loud and Z Cars is bloody awful.

Yes it was Charlie Barlow (Stratford Johns) and John Watt (Frank Windsor) but weren't they in Z Cars to start with and then got a series of their own in Softly Softly

Yep - that is what I remember!

Apparently, Ki covered 7 miles during yesterday's match - the most on either side!

Strange, as we didn't make as much movement as usual and he didn't stand out particularly ... a decent performance but not outstanding or seemingly more industrious than the others.

He's doing much better than I expected and long may it last.

There we are then.
