...We have 3rd and 1st at home over the next seven days, MM & TC have some injuries to key players to deal with. What will be a realistic return from the next couple of games? For me a win and a draw would be a good return and probably see us back in the top six, anything less will see us hold position, a couple of wins could see us go top 3, exciting times indeed, I appreciate the display today may not have been the best but at this stage it's all about getting positive results, especially at home....COYBs.
Agree Hoppers, win and draw would be fair weeks work, and see us nicely set up for Xmas run in. Just hope the injuries don't hurt our chances. Perhaps a call to arms for young Henshall!
Well I have to say that was an unexpected fine attacking performance from a patched up team, nice to see us passing forward as apposed to sideways or backwards. Murphy is our "mockingjay" he is on fire..!
Not a bad performance from a single Town player tonight, 2-1 flattered Wolves, the worst away performance I have seen from the visitors at PR this season. Best performance from Wolves tonight was their following 948 for a Tuesday night is impressive, unlike their team.
We had 20 attempts with 8 on target so it proves we dominated them! They had 13 attempts with just 1 on target!
Their goal counts as a shot on target even though it was clearly a cross, Wolves were IMO an absolute shambles tonight.
Was just thinking the same Spanish, he does all the harassing & chasing in midfield, I am not sure we have anyone to fill his boots on Saturday, I think Bishop will be in for him on Saturday, that will be a massive test for the youngster!
Sounds like it was a much better performance from us tonight, think this is where I get frustrated with Mick because he is capable of setting up his teams in this way. Anybody think despite all the good work Skuse does off the ball we look far more balanced going forwards when he's not in the team?
We did not miss Skuse at all tonight, we got the ball forward much quicker, Wolves could not cope with that at all, it totally took them by surprise.
I hope he doesn't just walk straight back into the team, our performances seem to be so much better when he isn't in the team
Have been saying this for ages, Mick just does not see it tho, Skuse will always be one of the first names on the team sheet!! One of Micks bum buddies alomg with Gerken and Warky!!
Good set-up, well done MM, surprised everyone with that attacking forward moving, ball passing footie. Enthusiastic commentary, tho about 15 mins behind the plot and hilarious gaffs going out live.... but it did capture the PR mood! Skuse on bench pse for next 3! Let Bish off his leash against them hornets. Exciting times ahead indeed. Who else got that scoreline right?
We are so much a better side without Skuse that I hope we don't start him as soon as hes fit, Bru is by far the better player. I was a bit worried about Billy in goal at Blackpool and I saw nothing last night to reassure me, how he missed that long hop for their goal is beyond me. It was a great performance last night with half the first choice players missing although Wolves were very poor and lucky to get away that lightly, how the hell they got up to 3rd place is beyond me. weve got some key players missing such as Parr, Williams, and Bishop, so imagine how much better we can be with a first choice side.
We now have strength in depth which is amazing when you consider that we were relying heavily on loanees only a few short seasons ago! There are no fancy Dans just hard working players who all know their jobs in the team. Its a huge turnaround and a great deal of the credit must go to Mick & TC for the huge amount of hard work they have put in. God it feels good being a Town fan and long may it continue.
And too think some people moaned and worried when we didn't make any last minute signings on deadline day... Things can change so quickly in football but even more so in this league.
