Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes is doubtful after picking up a groin injury during the warm-up last weekend. Troy Deeney may start in attack, having made three substitute appearances since recovering from a hamstring injury. Millwall have captain Alan Dunne available again after suspension. His returns means centre-back Mark Beevers could be moved to left-back, with Scott Malone (thigh) and Matthew Briggs (calf) both struggling.

Head-to-Head
The last encounter ended as a 2-2 draw at The Den in April.
Millwall have won only one of the last eight meetings. Their only win since 2006 was 1-0 at The Den in April last year.
Watford have won three of the last four meetings at Vicarage Road, drawing one. Millwall's last win there was 2-0 in March 2006.

Watford are unbeaten in their last eight games, winning three. Their last defeat was 1-0 at Charlton on 13 September.
They have won only one of their last four home games, drawing the rest. Their only win at home since August was 2-1 against Brentford on 30 September.

Millwall
Millwall won their last game 1-0 against Cardiff at home last Saturday. It was their first win in nine games.
They have not won any of their last six away games, losing three. Their last win on the road was 1-0 at Fulham on 16 August.

Is it a good thing that Mathias Ranégie isn't playing, or not? His four appearances there have produced no goals, I don't know how many minutes he's actually played though.
 
He has been injured for a month now and has probably been back with us during that time. He wouldn't be allowed to play anyway.

Trouble is I just can't decide on scores for 5 of the games!
Watford - I have this fear of Holloway outmanoeuvring us tactically and nicking a late goal. On the other hand I see a thrashing by 4 or maybe it will end up being a mundane 2-0 Who knows! :)
Looking forward to it though.....

Chris, at times like these you need to follow in the footsteps of our leader and fall back on the "H default", 3-1. (You also need to mix your metaphors like a contortionist.)
 
I know that not everyone is completely happy over the poppy appeal, but I am so very pleased to see that our club has embraced it, and will be making a contribution towards the funds that provide help towards those in need. As a club we have been involved through various community schemes in helping people and that does make us different from others. A big thank you to the 1881 group, the players and management. Tomorrow will be a unique experience and just needs a good game of football and a win for the Hornets to be one of those days to remember.
 
Well that was close. Norwich briefly moved us out of the top two, but then we went back when Bolton scored. Phew! ;)
 
thanks for the update from tonight M Frenchie, good news (though i doubt Dave will think so!) Thanks for the thread Mex, excellent as ever. I'm so looking forward to this, not so much for the game, though i think it will be a good one, and i can only see us winning which probably means we'll lose, but still, i think we may get a 3-1 this week! Meanwhile, it's the rest that i'm looking forward to. The sense of pride in our club at the moment is immeasurable. Yes, there are some that don't agree with what is happening at the game, but with the players paying out for the foils, hopefully the Rookery will be full to bursting, and they will look incredible. Not only that, the extra £2 for the programme being donated to the RBL and the money from away shirt sales..there is so much to be proud of. It's not all about football, it's thanks to those that gave their lives that we can go and watch football when we want to. We will remember them.<rose>

Totally Totally agree, WFC is more than football, it's more than a club, it's a way of thinking, a way of being, a set of values. There's an underlying goodness that's survived even the Bassini debacle and it's that warm fuzzy feeling or for me as it's so infrequent these days welling up of tears and butterflies in the stomach you get when you go into the ground and just breathe in the memories. Honoring and remembering with respect the fallen who gave their lives for our freedom and modern way of life is the right thing to do. Its right to do it publicly every year lest new generations do not realise and even more correct to do it privately in our heads 365 days a year. To those who disrespect this recognition of the fallen I have but contempt, I would like to see them leave our countries, go and live in their own nirvana but not on my lands.... COYH, here's to a great day on and off the pitch, may it be a horror of Halloween proportions for the lions.
 
It's a shame they can't go the whole way with the 1914 looking kit and remove the sponsors, kit manufacturers and FL logos and the club badge. It would make commentary interesting if they also removed the names and numbers!
 
Make the shirts out of thick cotton too and hope it doesn't rain! My school kit back in the 70's weighed a ton in the rain. Give them a good old fashioned lace up ball to play with too. What say you BB, GG?

On a serious note I am really looking forward to this game. My great grandparents settled in the Old Kent Road from Ireland and their kids used to watch Millwall "on the Island" in the 20's and 30's. My branch of the family moved out to Harrow during the war, hence my allegiance. Millwall is a must do away game for me too, great pub crawl around London Bridge...

Loved those old cotton shirts - built to last they were. :)
I still have two of them from my Rugby Union days - consecutive Grand Final winning shirts. Both liberally sprinkled with mud. sweat and blood - and priceless to me. Apart from the stains, they're still in good condition too.
 
"Watford on Football Focus" - what a joke, they've only got one story and they recycle it. No comment on how the group of players play. Is this a sport show?
