Thought I'd start a thread for this Whether we have a thread for each major race and/or any where we have a European representative I'll leave that to you folk. Magician does not go - lame ATR Breeders Cup Micro Site
Another good weekend for the Brits IMO, Ryan says his best ride of the week is Dank! Big statement with Telescope leading the market for his race personally I don't think Toronado will be quick enough and I fancy Goldikovas brother Anodin is definately the dark horse in the race! Anyone doing a Ryan L15??
I like Tarfasha in the fillies and mares and, although he's not European, really like No Nay Never in the turf sprint. I still canlt get his Ascot race last year out of my mind - really was extraordinairy. Anyway - bring it on. Love the BC
There's been a lot of speculation in the press about how Toronado may respond to the probably break neck early pace in the Mile, but I think it'll be perfect for a horse that always travels well but maybe just lacks a bit of acceleration. Not sure that 9/4 is too generous though.
9.25 IMPERIA 8/1 e.w This trainer Kiaran McLaughlin is red hot. Form in his last 8 reads 10111331. Imperia's debut was most promising when running on well into 2nd having been shuffled behind a wall of horses. Then he won a GRade 3 on 2nd start, going away under hands and heels. This can fly the flag for Godolphin but will need a little luck with a strong late rattle. The pace in the race from Hootenay etc should set this up for a finisher. 10.50 SUNSET GLOW 7/2 The form behind Cursory Glance is miles clear of any American horse and drawn well to get a good position. 11.35 TIZ MIDNIGHT 8/1 Real nice dirt pedigree and still lightly raced. Santa Anita form reads 212 and crucially has the draw to lead from pillar to post whilst the likes of Close Hatched and Untapable burn up the petrol from out wide. Tiz Midnight will relish every yard and I think it can draw the sting out of the market principles.
Hootenanny for me in the 9.25 , has the breeding to say he will stay the 1m and has apparently been fine tuned for this race will be hard to beat
Great shout Wooly one!!! Was on the Hills horse all the way. Saw your post this morning and you nearly swayed me...I didn't think it would stay!!! Good luck with the double!
Favourite won well just now, looked in trouble at the start then going round the final bend but fought on well!!!
