I don't think Balotelli is half as bad as made out TBH. Most of the stories we read are either BS or blown out of proportion because its Mario. Most managers and/or players that have been at the same club as Mario talk quite highly of him and usually say he's a good player to have around the team.
Origi is pretty much what we're missing - someone with strength, pace, hard working, movement etc. However, the fact that a 19 year old on loan would improve our attack is an indictment to the recruitment in the summer.
Probably both tbh. We could certainly use him but I saw why we wanted to loan him, just didn't think our attack would fall so flat without studge!
Long term - great credit Short term - no because we should have an attack which is good without Sturridge and a 19 year old. .
True, but your original point made no direct reference to how good our current attack is, just that a 19 year old would improve it, so our attack could be really good, but an amazing19 year old would improve it further. Sterling for example would improve the attacks of most teams, even some whose attacks are already pretty decent.
That's just the issue - we shouldn't be in a position where we're relying on 19 year olds no matter how good they are. Sterling is a world class talent but we've seen that without other top class senior players i.e. SAS, that he soon fades because other teams will focus on him. So yes, it's good to have these youngsters who are actively contributing to the team but that should be a bonus. The senior players should be the one who are winning the matches.
Do not agree in the slightest, I tend to think we're better than other club's fickle fans, but I guess that would be wrong of me. Sack Rodgers now and we will begin another ****ing 5 year transition period. BR has a plan and has spent millions on implementing it, he deserves the season to see it out. (provided we aren't flirting with the relegation zone after Christmas....)
I'd still give Rodgers time as well, unless something desperate happens like he loses the dressing room. Besides which, who would we get in? Several people have mentioned Klopp, but lets be honest, there's a decnt chance he won't want to come. And then what?
I agree in that we should be patient and I hope he can turn things around, my worry is that I don't see it coming performance wise and that we seem to be in a downward spiral that will end up with him losing his job.
also how do you get a decent manager in if they have no funds to do anything with, sadly they also have a ready made excuse, in its another managers players i am working with. i dont think he has long left to be honest, but be funny as feck if he got us in that top 4 somehow.
I agree he deserves a chance and I still think he could turn it round but he simply needs to start winning games. At the moment he has a big issue (not the homeless magazine quite yet) and that is a man like Klopp blatantly angling for a move to the Prem. Did you here his interview last night? Our owners aren't soft, they know if this run continues they will have to start sounding out other managers....they might not want to change and start again (very expensive if nothing else) but at some point they might find their hand is forced by our results.
We're still (somehow) only 5 points off top 4; there's plenty of time to get there, IF we get some form back and manage to get some points on the board.
