Why?

No the coach and assistant of Real Madrid b.... And probably next Real Madrid manager after anchelotti has but bitten nor racially abused anyone

No he's coached a team..... Without the necessary qualifications.

While over here most don't have a badge and lfcs coach mike marsh is only now going for pro license in real football countries coaches can't walk in off the street. Madrid might fight it but in the end zidane will have to do his license course before he will be allowed to work

I just find this interesting.... Don't others?
 
These qualifications are a ****ing scam

The FA says it wants more coaches, meanwhile it costs best part of £10k to go on their **** course and learn about respecting bent referees
 
Or just perhaps the years of learning has place the English dude on real madrids bench by merit rather than chance and he could be the next mourinho?

The cost relates to the duration and also foreign content and measures up with any compatible cost if attaining a sports science or post graduate course

People can go of the very basic qualification and work up!
 
They used to do their training courses at Warwick university business school, I did some work there and they'd roll in and think they owned the gaff. I think they've moved to St George's now though.
 
It's not going to bother Madrid one iota in reality. All they have to do is nominate somebody who has the qualification and appoint Zidane and his assistant as advisors.

i was at Warwick castle many moons ago and was stood on the little bridge there and some bloke walked underneath (dried out stream i think it used to be) and had an eagle on his arm, magnificent site, just lucky in right place right time.

He is one of the greatest players of the past 30 years at least and a huge icon so if the Spanish authorities can say to even him hang on here then just maybe all the clubs have coaches of a much higher training level than over here... Is that not a reasonable inference

I firmly believe that if a scholes or a Gerrard turn up at any club in England they would be let loose to do anything and frankly neither is qualified. Great players yes but great coaches? No.... Surely people like Rodgers, mourinho and more show coaches are made over years of training and experience

So madrids idea of a fast track for zidane gets slapped down
 
Former QPR and Manchester City forward Rodney Marsh has criticised (external) the Spanish Football Federation's decision to give Zinedine Zidane a three-month coaching ban for taking charge of Real Madrid reserves without the right qualifications, arguing: "Best player in the world doesn't need a piece of paper!"

i can see the argument for both sides to be honest.

right in the sense that a footballing great doesn't really need a bit of paper to show he is qualified, but then the other side can argue, if they have to do it and pay the expenses, why shouldn't he? just because he is a footballing great, so what type thing.

that's a nothing ban really anyway, i am just a bit sceptical why they have done this, ie there does seem a lot of favouritism to real in spain, and maybe they have done this to deflect the attention away from that which doesn't really have any impact on that any way, but they can say look we done this type thing.
 
my point is he's not qualified. he's got some great experiences and a great player would look at him as an equal.... but...... what in his vast plaing career actually qualifies him? The point is a selfish player can go through their entire career not giving a toss and while they may know x and y about thier own position they might have paid zero attention to all the other aspects of the game... now i'm not saying zidane is like this.... but....

I just feel this adds back to all the arguments about the quality of player this country makes.

Anyone for instance note the terrible standard in scotland yet two young fella move to spain as kids and suddenly they are in international scottish squad... why? luck or quality coaching.

I think until we all say ok hang on.. going into the science and understanding of coaching is actually required before you are let loose then we'll continue to wonder why the f we can't make players.

I feel that other countries have better coaching for a reason... and the fact real got dinged... as you say they are favored a lot in spain... that says something to me.
 
I'm not a fan of ex players going straight into high level positions within the club i.e. Carra and Gerrard becoming coaches.

That's not to say they don't have the ability to become great coaches but you need to get the qualifications IMO and work up. Pep Guardiola is a very good example of starting with the reserve team and moving up. I think he was only with the reserve team for one season before promotion but it was still a learning experience which I think is needed.
 
There can't be one rule for one and a different rule for others, rules are rules. Break them and you face the consequences.
