Not at all. Most on here wanted Chelsea to win so that Man U dropped points. I wanted the other way round. It is nice to see the gap behind us but I still have optimism and would rather those ahead of us drop points than those behind. That is unless they are unreachable.

Here is your own post from earlier:

I said you'd answered your own question there. By your own admission you say it's good that teams below us have dropped points. You can have it one way or another, but not both, surely..? :)

From my own perspective, I wanted Chelsea to lose in order to make it easier to catch them, irrespective of what teams below us did. But I'd have taken a draw as a second result and been fine with it. And so it turned out. The bonus is that both teams wasted a third point forever between them. That'll do for me.

I definitely wanted either a draw or Chelsea win. Chelsea are pretty much nailed on to win the League and Man C to finish top 4. That leaves 2 spots. In order for us to have any chance of a top 4 finish we need the usual suspects such as Arsenal, Man U, Tottenham and Liverpool to drop as many points as possible.

I would rather we have a proper shot at CL next year..with all the money and prestige it brings than the fleeting pleasure of sitting top of the table for a week or so.

    Or as Ronald puts it:

"Now you look at the team of Stoke, they are very hard working and it’s difficult to beat them. They won against Manchester City away, it was a great result for us.”

Gary Neville talking about Spurs lack of preparedness in last night's game and the previous one. A player ran on late last night and arrived just seconds before kick off and Ameobi (who he was supposed to be marking) scored almost immediately. Then showed a video of Spurs players at an earlier match checking socks and shoes and being unready for their own kick off...a goal against them followed almost immediately afterwards. Mauricio spoke of their lack of concentration. Not sure what this says about Spurs, though it does suggest a lack of respect for their manager.

I understand your logic; it makes perfect sense.

But bollocks to that :) I am pretty unbearable at the moment, sending screenshots of the league table to all my mates, especially the liverpool, united and arsenal ones! Give me that fleeting week at the top of the Premier League please and then they'll really see unbearable.

We can worry about having a good run at the CL later.

I see a big set of udders in front of me and I want to continue milking them for all they're worth :)

Would be nice to top the table, however briefly.

When the fixtures came out, I'm sure I posted "Title decider" last game of the season, away to City :)

Trust me i'm a man who loves to both own and eat cake and my obnoxiousness level with my football supporting mates is apparently on the verge of unbearable ... i just want to be able to do it for a few months as we prepare and play CL at their teams expense.

    Of course :)

After Sunderland my united supporting bet mate sent me a text just saying, "when will this nightmare end" and after Stoke and us going second, he sent, "ok stop it, this is just ****ing stupid now"

    Love it :)

    Another nice thought for today;
Maurice sat in a dark room watching re-runs of the 8 second equaliser! Oh, that should keep the lil bitch quiet for a few days! <laugh>

City and Chelsea will definitely finish above us. Arsenal probably will do too. Utd, Spurs and Liverpool are more likely than not to finish above us, but not by much. We're 5/1 to be top 4. :)

A lot of my mates (eighties kids) are Liverpool fans and I mean virtually all of them. They have stopped moaning about Liverpool on facebook because of me commenting :) They were all banging on about how Gerrard still had it and Brenda was awesome last year. Not this year though. Still waiting for replies on this post:

Funnily enough, I prefer a close second. There's no logic to it, it's a motorcycle racing thing.

Going into a last lap, almost all motorcycle racers prefer to be in second place, right up the leader's exhaust pipe, simply because they have them where they want them. The leader can see sod all but the track in front. He can barely defend an attack and he has all the pressure on him.

And that's where the only similarity is. All the pressure is on the team sitting on top. Of course Chelsea can handle it. I think Saints might crumble under the pressure. We're good, but we're not at that stage yet.

Besides, Saints were top of the elite league in 1981-82 for 3+ months, so we're not absolute strangers to it. And even though we were top at the end of March [yes, bloody March], we crumbled to 7th because of injuries and lack of squad depth. So it has all been done before. :)

Oh well then, why are we bothering..? You've obviously got it sorted. I'll just call the club. Don't bother trying, guys. :)

FA to take no action against Craig Dawson. Not deemed a red card offence and I agree.

I disagree, it was clearly dangerous play, he nearly took Speroni's head off. Surely goalkeepers deserve some protection?
