DT, I dont hate Adel. I hate his lack of application, proffesionalism and respect he has (not) shown towards QPR in the last 3 years since WE made him a star ..even if it is in his on mind !

PD. I wanted to answer but seeing as this has moved on so far since my last post, i really cant be arsed to read it all. I'm going to agree to disagree on this as its gettin really boring and debating peoples weights for there height is absolute rubbish. No offence meant.

It was just so obvious what wa going to happen that i found it funny. Im too busy at work right now to read all this, but I'll let you guys carry on and come read the rest a bit later.

That's not an excuse though is it LT - if Adel is not trying in a reserve game thats designed to see if he, specifically, is up to first team football, he's not going to get in the first team is he? Fair enough. And he's pillock for not being able to see that.

Whether Martin Samuels article spews some bollocks facts or not (plus Martin Samuels is an undoubted tosspot no question) his ultimate argument is fairly spot on. Adel at 25, a supposed genius footballer, is still to convince most of the footballing world of his worth. Now why is that?

Actually I don't have a problem with Taarabt being a little over 13 stone in weight, he appears to have a low center of gravity and it tends to make him extremely difficult for defenders to knock him off the ball.....I think we can all remember the game at Stamford Bridge when SWP scored and how Taarabt played the false 9 role, they could hardly get the ball off him because off his overall strength and I doubt he was very much lighter in weight then to what he is now.

All he really needs to do is get his conditioning and fitness right to last 90 minutes, he does not really need a dramatic weight lose....

It's part of the deal with him. Call it special treatment or careful treatment......doesn't matter. Warnock knew the score with him and to date, is the only manager in Adel ' s professional career to have got the best from him. No one else has gotten close.

Whilst the point you are makin is tecnically correct, he only did it in the NPC with him didnt he. You cannot say Warnock had much sucess with him in the top flight. Remeber the bus from Fulham and countless other stories?
Warnock knew he was good enought to get us out of the NPC and designed a team that would pander to him there. Problem is we got badly found out when coming up against the big boys an trying to play the same system. It eventually cost him his job. Now that to me was short term planning (much the same as Harry did)
Adel has had countless chan ces and excuses. 5 manager in 2 diffrent league in 3 years. If he was as good as some believe, there are many many other better managers than Redknapp who would sign him up arent there? Why is he not at Liverpool, Everton, Hull, Saints or any other Prem club? Quite simply because they dont want him and the crap he brings with him. All the managers in the league cant be wrong can they?
So effectively we are saying that no other manger will be able to control him. There is 1 common demominator here, blame all the managers, systems,players, clubs and owners you like. Adel is in our reserves because he has not been able to prove himself worthy of a starting place in a prem team yet.
There is only one person to blame for that; And Im pretty sure it is him

That team that was built around him in the CC was promptly disbanded as soon as were promoted. We signed more players than any other team. So no wonder it all fell apart!! Not sure Adel can be a scapegoat for that calamity.

But no doubt, other teams have not come in for him cos he probably isn't worth the hassle for them. But he is our player. He is an employee of QPR. So time for him to be put to good use. It's not like we are sitting pretty in mid - table. We are rock bloody bottom with an increasing list of injured players. With Matt Philips, Kranjcar and Hoilett struggling at the moment, I'm not sure we have much else in the attacking midfield locker.

Tarrabt is consistent in one thing only - HIS DESIRE TO LEAVE OUR FOOTBALL CLUB.
We have, over the years, put up with his behaviour because of his enormous potential - while blindly ignoring his continued DESIRE TO LEAVE OUR FOOTBALL CLUB.
He has never seen his career at this club as a long term position. When we went down he deserted us (and couldn't even make that work at Foolham).
He is an UNPROFESSIONAL in a professional game. He will NEVER make the heights that others keep believing he should/deserves. You deserve what you earn - weight specifics apart, he is not capable of being a significant contributor to the success of a club on a consistent basis.
He IS capable of being consistent that he will always be better somewhere else.
Time to move on. 12 pages of irrelevant opinions on a player THAT DOESN'T WANT TO BE AT OUR CLUB AND DOESN'T CARE ABOUT OUR CLUB.
Wake up and see it for what it is. Smell the coffee guys!!!

Toad, i dont think Adel can be blammed for our first trip into the Prem but he didnt even do enough to keep himself playing in that team. He isnt the scapegoat at all, but his atitude and lack of proffesionalism was laid bare for all to see.

I agree, we are in a crap place (bottom) and he could be our best option, but only if fit, keen and willing to be par of our team. Sadly he hasnt been that for 3 seasons now.
He tried to get away to (bigger) clubs on 2 occaisions and neither of them wanted to keep him.
Facts are, outside of Loftus road, he hasnt proved anything of note to anyone. And before we start on the ridiculous stuff aout being god enough to keep Kakka out, dont forget Boswinga has a CL medal. Is he a good player too.

We have Dunne, Green, Zamora, SWP and Barton in our team. Everyone of them has achieved more in thier careers than he has, and they werent exactly considered top players.
Im no expert but id guess Zidane (who DT compares him too) had achieved more at Adels age by now.? Dont know for sure and cant be arsed to look up really, but a few games for a 2nd rate international footballing nation isnt exactly the sucess story everyone makes him out to be is it.

He has the ability and "could have" been our new Stan, unfortunately he just doesnt have the mental capacity to do it. In a few years it will hit him that he missed out on being so much more..It it will be a tragic waste not only to him, but to QPR also.

I think Taarabt made himself a star at 22 years old not us
Yes his rise to any level of fame has affected his ego and brain but in the UK it seems we love to try and cripple any talent
I stand that the majority of focus around him has been incorrectly reported and thus shaped people's opinions of him. I don't consider myself deluded because I have taken a wider look on him since the start
My head up his arse comments will never deflect from the fact that he has something very unique in his game

Over the years look how he has been portrayed in the English media as the fat Moroccan ... In France he rarely gets that ... The level of reporting in the UK sports media is in itself unique
Years of Sun style reporting has made Harold the British bulldog lovely geezer east Londoner etc etc ... Well he is at last exposed ... Think about it long enough and you will get to the core of what is wrong with UK football

We are part of a much bigger circus now and just had a big custard pie in the face
