Just reading in NewsNow about Arsene Wenger possibly stepping aside at some point. With Uncle Ronald doing so well, the author automatically plumps for him as the next Arsenal manager. Here's the bit where I got annoyed...

Koeman at Southampton has already shown that he wants to play football in the right way and the way he has got a cobbled together bunch of players to gel and succeed must surely make him a strong candidate to be the next boss of the Gunners. If we don’t snap him up soon, then somebody else will, so do you think that Koeman could be set to replace Wenger as the manager of Arsenal?

The sheer unmitigated arrogance kills me. If he's decided he isn't going to be the next Dutch national manager, because he's committed long term to the project at Southampton, then he certainly isn't going to consider being the next Arsenal manager.

I hope you're right. An arsenal supporting friend of mine said to me on monday that "arsenal are looking at Koeman". No idea where he got that from, but it seems he may not be the only one. I suppose that's how rumours start. Let's hope that's all this is.

it's also full of statistical gobbeldigook sites with vomit inducing article titles like "Silky Playmaker To Push Through Liverpool Move".

it puts the lotion on its skin

Newsnow is just full of blogs from people who have little to know links to the club and think what they say is fact.

Among the chaff there are articles of worth though. The fact that they are collected in one space means an awful lot less fruitless browsing.

It is rumoured that Wenger will be taking a massive pay deal to take over at Monaco next season. Hence rumours of him leaving Arsenal are rife at the moment. Maybe as they hover around Saints a lot watching players etc they could ask Les if he has any good tips for a manager that would suit their style. i.e. The Arsenal (ex Southampton) Way where all the players have been brought through the Southampton ranks playing in a certain style.

Well, lets face it, Ron would be more interested in managing the national side than some under achievers from the capital. He batted that job speculation away pretty easily, so I'm not going to worry about a few fickle gunners who watched MOTD in September.

And talking about underachievers, perhaps we can recommend that extremely nice Pochypoo chappie to Arsenal. Spurs fans would hate to see him leave..! ;)
