I'm really glad you see Morrison as a positive purchase - I definitely think so as well despite some of the negative vibes posted on here about him. We should also be very grateful for his recognition of Brayford as a real asset already with the club who was left out in the cold by Mackay.
I read somewhere that Manga coming here was very little to do with OGS. He was targeted by the same France Ligue 1 based scout who put KTC in the frame two years ago. Dalman pushed it through with backing from Choo, and OGS went along for the ride.
And as much as we should appreciate OGS the players you mention, we should also be mindful of those apparent turkeys (at the moment) he brought here too. Berget, Eikrem, Burgstaller look bad decisions with The jury still well out on Guerra and blobby Dikgacoi over their attitude and weight problem respectively.

Malky's only mistake.....only joking, but it was strange that he bought him & then ignored him. Wasn't there talk about an attitude problem in training & a bust-up with Bellers.
Also with the dud's OGS broght here, was there a bigger waste of space than Zaha
A totally flawed decision from OGS that ranks alongside his lack of understanding of the game at managerial level.
You are also right about the influence that Bellers had upon Mackay over Brayford. Bellers apparently had a few spats with Brayford in training over his attitude and Mackay went along with it..
It makes you wonder doesn't it? Who was responsible for bringing the talent and who was responsible for bringing the flops?

Not to start a MM debate but I think there is little doubt he had a bit of an 'in the gang' type mentality.
Brayford was not in the club, Don Cowie definitely was!
There were bigger mistakes than Zaha. He was instrumental in us beating Norwich, that's a more significant contribution than Eikrem, Burgstaller, Berget combined in 60 minutes. Zaha has the ability to be a game changer, he showed the odd sign of that happening. Was it away at Saints he beat about 5 players before hitting his shot at the keeper for what would have been 2-0? The boys attitude stinks and we were probably the wrong club for him (based mainly on the fact 60% of our fan base hates him). File him along side Ravel Morrison imo, he can be as good as he wants to be, but he'll probably fade into obscurity and make not much out of so much ability.
With regards to the OP I thought Morrison was superb last night. Pace, power, aggression and whilst he's not 100% assured on the ball he's streets ahead of Turner.
Fabio continues to scare me, first goal was from his mistake and his rash decision making will continue to get exposed by better wingers than Connor Salmon..........
Overall he had an excellent game, but the sliding challenge when booked 2nd half where thankfully he missed everything was a terrible choice to make and could have easily seen us defending with 10 men for final 10 minutes.
I think his all action style and massive work rate could make him an excellent midfielder but I worry about the amount of goals he'll be directly responsibly for if he's our first choice left back all season.

It seems Slade is determined to play 2 up front so there's a chance for him to work hard and prove how good he is. I've got a feeling the first part of that might be where him and Slade will have different opinions on the level required.
In fairness to Russell I've seen enough already to trust his judgement. It speaks volumes about his motivational skills the immediate difference in work rate and effort compared to the lacklustre s**te we had to put up with until now is remarkable.
He has definitely got the lads working hard again, something we have missed lately. Still early days, but I think he can do a good job!

Well,I pop in occasionally,but don't usually feel the need to say anything. This is not the most hospitable of places to visit,however. Just about on a par with Sunderland.
Frankly, the Peterborough Forum is a much nicer place to visit.
Oh,and I guess most other "Jacks" are busy with Premier League matters. Don't you think?

Just a side issue now that Fabio is back - although he does frighten us on times. I thought we looked far more composed in the last 20 minutes last night than in the same period against Forest.
We went into that last 20 with a 2 goal advantage in both games, but after Daehli replaced the unfortunate Adeyemi on Saturday, we struggeld with Forest big time. We had to defend using Daehli and Noone (not the most ideal scenario) and eventually let one in. Last night with the right mix, we never looked out of control of the game and saw it out professionally - that was one of the most pleasing aspects.

I said to my mate, this is Cardiff City and a minute can change the WHOLE game. We've all seen a 2 goal lead only to throw it away in the dying minutes. A lot more composed last night and although it was a complete mis-hit (
), was nice to see ALF get off the mark.Tough game at the weekend. lets hope this continues and slade manages to prove me and may others wrong. 
the list of flops is probably just as long as the list of hits. plus factor in his pay off and all his cronies, multi millions down the drain.
if you are given money to spend, and you buy players that everyone knows are good, like le fondre, morrison, pilkington etc, then in my books you don't get as much credit as for finding gems, like mason, marshall etc.
those players you listed probably cost us about £20m with signing on fees included. would we get that back right now? possibly, but ultimately it was big wages that brought alot of those players to us.
