He's done a fantastic job of deflecting media heat off him and onto Taarabt to be fair. Wonder how long he'll keep his job for...
All I said was he shifted those players out and deserved credit for it. We also had a good spirit at the end of last season. He might not be right for us overall but I believe in giving him some credit at least.
I wouldn't bet against your lot being in the shake up at the end. It would sweeten the blow of us going down to see your smug managers face then.
So this! I'm not sure if Jacket would be any good or not. How is he on tactics? It would be nice to have a manager who actually does them!! Hoddle wouldn't be the end of the World for me, maybe just till the end of the season.
He does but problem is he didn’t bring enough permanent players in to reduce turnover of squad this year. Only relatively cheap one he brought in this year was Simpson and he’s now left Tactically Jackett is very strong from what I know. Millwall fans oved him until he left and he’s done even better at Wolves. Just like Redknapp he inherited a strongish squad with a lot of expensive wages to get rid of but unlike Redknapp he absolutely pissed the league and then with a low turnover of players is exceeding expectations this year. He deserves a chance and for me on paper makes most sense. Arrogant big time charlie’s like Rio or even Barton might not like it at first but expect he would win most if not all over with competence As for Leicester- I agree. A soulless ground that isn’t intimidating in the slightest, a very good manager but some mediocre players who have been performing above themselves for a while now. Think they’ll struggle for goals and start sliding. Don’t think Ulloa is that good and can see his goals dry up and Nugent wont get all those penalties again this year
I think we came up in spite of him rather than because of him. He made so many screw ups during the season I'm still amazed we got into the play off's.
What an idiotic contribution that was... He's a better candidate than Sherwood and there's a good chance he'll be premier league manager even if it's not with us
Lets be honest guys, if Harry goes then Tony will want another high profile name to keep pushing Air Asia etc. Regardless of Jackets ability, he just wont fit the global brand. Moyes would be the only one with a highish profile that could actually do the job we want. No way to Pullis, Clement wont leave Madrid and i dont see anyone else with i high profile thats free. Sherwood is unproven and so is Sir Les. Whilst in real terms Jacket may be a decent go for us, it just isn going to be him. ALL of our managers and signings since Tony has been in charge are "high profile" whether we like it or not
But that is because it is true. By comparison with the rest of the Championship we did spend big. We spent a fortune on short-term loans and a couple of decent signings. We are a small club who have given themselves delusions of grandeur ever since the financial rescue of the 4 year plan. In the last couple of yearsw e have spent way beyond our means. Why else are we now staring down the barrel of the FFP gun? No point having a go at fans of other clubs who point out the obvious in a reasonable way.
Well it hasn't worked so far and I would suggest a good manager helping us achieve on the pitch where it matters would be a good idea By the way Wolves beat Middlesbrough 2-0 at home tonight to move joint third with them Cerny how did Paul Hart's team get on tonight?? Surely he is managing a comparable size club to Wolves otherwise you wouldn't have been flippant enough to compare the 2...
Senile old cnut - sums it up - sorry but look at the sh**e this week about Adel (sorry!!!) so unprofessional as a manager - scapegoat after scapegoat after another - never his fault - if only he'd been given unlimited funds and the sky was blue every day and blah blah blah blah blah - not good enough - does not care about this club - taking Tony for ride - no plan - plays favourites - terrible terrible - could we do worse? .... really
